Summer Sunburn Mixtape | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

A small present for you all while we enjoy the summer sun, pretend we’re from mainland Europe, get a farmer tan, slack off work, drink in the sunshine and get grumpy with each other. I’ve collated these tunes according to one rule – if they screamed ‘SUMMER’ they were in. A Nice and eclectic 48... Read more »

 nialler9 Podcast #14: April 08 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

April’s podcast starts with the most bizarre medieval electro track you’ve ever heard. Seriously, you’ll be prancin’ about like the medieval minstrel from Monty Python’s The Holy Grail after two minutes. The rest of this podcast took 8 hours to prepare and then we let it marinate overnight. Presented by Aoife, it includes an exclusive... Read more »

Podcast #10: Top Irish EPs of 2007 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

I had the notion months ago that December’s podcast would feature all Irish music and what better way to showcase this country’s talent than to take the results of the public poll for Irish EPs and make a podcast out of it. The top 14 EPs were as follows with number of votes in brackets:... Read more »

 nialler9 Podcast #9: November | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Well, myself and Aoife are heading off to Poland for the week so we are going to leave you with this nugget of a podcast. It’s longer than usual but all these tunes come highly recommended. There are two songs from the recent Well Deep: Ten Years of Big Dada compilation, a song from a... Read more »

 nialler9 Podcast #8: October | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

We finally recorded number eight last night, despite being overcome with random giddiness all day yesterday. Do you ever get like that? When you can't help but do something silly by default. Anyway, I made it very difficult for Aoife when she was recording it cos I was like that. Poor girl. I did learn about Musical Youth though so it's all good.Likin' this one. I have been holding back on posting some of these songs on their own as I wanted to put them into the Podcast. We start with a song from Quentin Tarantino's Death Proof soundtrack, take in a tune from Flylo's excellent Reset EP, a beautiful new José Gonzalez tune, Jeffrey Lewis covering Crass, a Thom Yorke remix, a song from yet another shelved Q-Tip album, Wicklow boys Hybrasil, a band with a stupid name and a Frenchman with an ear for soundtracks.Aoife Mc, The Indie Hour presents as always.Subscribe to the Podcast via iTunes Subscribe to the Podcast - Other ProgramsPodcast #8 - OctoberThe Coasters - Down in Mexico [Death Proof soundtrack]Peanut Butter Wolf - Lightworking feat.
