And so finally - we wrap up this series of live podcasts from Inspire Boston 2010 with the folks behind the event itself: Matt & Enna Grazier. If you've listened to any of the proceeding podcasts you know the general feel that this event has produced among the attendees - so I will just let them do the talking. I also want to thank them again for allowing me to do these podcasts at kind of the last minute (like 2 days before is when i think I mentioned it) , as well as congratulate them on such a successful conference! Looking forward to 2011!!!
I luckily had the amazing opportunity to sit down with the ever-inspirational Eric Laurits during the Inspire Boston closing party. Eric has had quite an interesting past that has brought him to where he is in photography today. And remember kids, be careful where you place your commas..... http://www.norman-photography.com/phodcast/Eric-Laurits.mp3
Peter from Monin Photography - one of our final Inspire interviews - gives a little perspective on starting out recently in the business and what the experience of attending their first Photography Conference was like!
Nancy Faria of A New Outlook Photography in Falmouth Ma, sits down for a bit late in our first evening of podcasting, and gives a really neat perspective on a topic we have yet to cover here on the PHODcasts - Gay Weddings
The always lovely Candice Dowling Copploa of Jubilee Events is my first full-length PHODcast in months! And it was a joy to sit down with this talented wedding planner to get things started again. It is also great to get a fresh, non-photographic view of the wedding biz. Excuse my slightly clogged sounding cold-riddled head during this one. This is a rather long talk at nearly 75 minutes---once you open that Chardonnay and you never know WHAT will happen!! Please enjoy and don't forget to subscribe in iTunes !!! http://www.norman-photography.com/phodcast/Candice-Dowling-Coppola.mp3
Miss Samantha Bohall is next up here in our Phodcast series from Inspire Boston 2010 - and you can check out her blog here at S'Moore Photos
Allana Taranto of Ars Magna Studio sat down with me for a bit at Inspire Boston 2010 - listen up, as this is a very interesting conversation! (and she is willing to put up with my nonsense too!)
Next up at bat - Mr. Kris Orlowski sits down for a few and talks about his past, sonar (!!) and his new career as a full-time second shooter for Val McCormick
Connecticut's own Danielle Fuller of Beyond The Lens Photography was an attendee at Inspire Boston 2010 and after we both had a few cocktails, plopped down in front of my scary mic for a little chitchat...
Mark Andrew Higgins a presenter at Inspire Boston2010 who spoke about color management, came in for a brief chat about his life and business!!
How cool is it that Jim Collins, CEO of Pictage, came to attend Inspire Boston 2010. Luckily I slipped him a ruffie and hypnotized him into sitting down with me for an interview - halfway though which I realized - was not recording properly!! So here's round 2 - - - thanks for being such a good sport, Jim!!
Well folks, after some time away the PHODcast is back with a bang. And we're revving up again with something a bit different - live PHODcasts from Inspire Boston 2010 in Concord Mass! It seemed the perfect environment for a series of shorter, intimate on-the-spot interviews. First up to kick things off the illustrious Carla TenEyck - who as my first ever PHODcast seemed the correct person to start off this mini-series!
Miss Val McCormick is here with us today - and we chat about weird jobs, moving around a lot and forklifts. Seriously. http://www.norman-photography.com/phodcast/val-mccormick.mp3
Jane Shauck of Iris Photography sits down for a bit and chats about her commercial work, the Mets and light bulbs. yes thats right, light bulbs. http://www.norman-photography.com/phodcast/jane-shauck.mp3
Today we meet Ross Taylor - an honest to god Photojournalist. I was introduced to Ross through John Gayalda, and was immediately enamored with his incredible work, that puts much of the work we wedding guys call 'photojournalism' to shame. Spend some time at his website before you listen, as his stories and descriptions will have that much more meaning. This podcast is probably less 'funny' than you may have come accustomed to, but listen up and you may learn something-- http://www.norman-photography.com/phodcast/ross-taylor.mp3
