Robert is best known for his work on the Top Shelf Productions title "The Surrogates." He now is working for DC Comics and is taking over the Green Lantern series. He is looking to take the main character, Hal Jordan on adventures that fans of the series has never seen before. Robert took time out of his busy schedule to chat about taking over the Green Lantern series from legendary writer Geoff Johns. He also touched upon how he got into writing and what his children think of his job.

Tommy Riles and Art Eddy have a Father's Day Spectacular show. The guys talk about sports and Father's Day. They are also honored to have Kenny "The Jet" Smith on the show. Kenny Smith played in the NBA most notably for the Houston Rockets. While on the Rockets, Smith helped the team to win back to back NBA Finals Championships. He was named a member of the NBA All-Rookie Team in 1988. After his great career in the NBA, Smith became an analyst for TNT. Along with Charles Barkley, Shaquille O'Neal, and Ernie Johnson Smith is part of great team that breaks down games each season in the NBA. Kenny is also a proud father. His daughter Kayla a singer with hit songs like "I Got That." I was able to sit down and chat with Kenny about this year's NBA Finals, fatherhood, and his basketball camps. We are also honored to have Cleveland Indians player Nick Swisher on the show. This Father's Day will be a very special one for Nick Swisher. He and his wife were blessed with their first child, a daughter they named Emerson this past month in May. In talking with Nick you can tell he is proud to be a dad. He spoke with Art about his Father's Day memories he has with his father. To put an exclamation point for Nick he has teamed up with Dick's Sporting Goods to celebrate Father's Day with a great campaign. This week on The Life of Dad Show we welcome Rick Dale from The History Channel show, "American Restoration". Rick talks about his show, fatherhood, and what viewers can expect from this season. For those who have not seen the show it has Rick and his crew take rusty, beat-up items and restore them to their original glory. Whether it's a giant gas pump from the 1940s or a Hopalong Cassidy bicycle from the 1950s, every restoration is a high-stakes business project where worthless rust is transformed into a valuable collectible. However, these restorations aren't easy. Every project presents unique challenges for Rick and his team, who develop inventive processes to finish each job flawlessly and on time. May 28th on the History Channel starts a whole new season and the first episode features music legend Billy Joel. Dale needs to help Billy restore a rare BSA 850 motorcycle for the pop superstar. The singer has a passion for classic bikes and loves to make new models look old. After trying out an old Steinway spinet in Rick's "boneyard," the crate is opened. Inside is a 1967 BSA Royal Star or rather, a bunch of parts including a cracked engine that happens to be irreplaceable. Rick and his crew try to get the bike to look like new.

Tommy Riles and Art Eddy welcome Jim Gaffigan to the Life of Dad Show. Jim Gaffigan is best known for his hysterical stand-up routine. His material on Hot Pockets and McDonalds are fan favorites. Jim has been in movies, television shows, and on Broadway. Now he can add being an author to his resume. Gaffigan's book "Dad Is Fat" came out earlier this month. Art was able to chat with Jim about where the title of the book came from and how fatherhood has changed him.

Tommy Riles and Art Eddy reminisce about college since students are preparing for closing another chapter in their life as they graduate from universities and colleges all over the country. Tom and Art give the listeners some "tips" on what to do and not to do. Plus they have Pittsburg Steelers great Hines Ward on the show. The two-time Super Bowl champion and one-time Super Bowl MVP played his entire career with the Steelers. Ward has been selected to the Pro Bowl four times and is the Steelers All-time leader in receiving touchdowns, receiving yards, and receptions. Now retired from the NFL Ward has taken up a new sport. He is currently training for the IRONMAN World Championship that will take place later this year in Kona, Hawaii. Richard Dent, former NFL defensive end and Atlanta football legend, was honored in his hometown community as part of a special program called "Hometown Hall of Famers" presented by the Pro Football Hall of Fame and Allstate. Recently Dent was recognized by representatives of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Allstate Insurance Company and the Atlanta community during a special ceremony at Crim Open Campus High School.

Tommy Riles and Art Eddy talk about sports and Tom's trip to Australia. Art also chats with former U.S. Men's Soccer goalie Tony Meola about soccer and fatherhood. Tony Meola played on both the U.S. Men's National Team and in the MLS. He was in three FIFA World Cups and is a member of the National Soccer Hall of Fame. During his time playing in the MLS, Tony was named the league MVP in 2000. That year he and his team, the Kansas City Wizards, won the MLS Cup title. Tony Meola, U.S. Men's Soccer, and Allstate Insurance worked together to surprise a soccer team during their practice session with a special "Good Hands F.C." soccer clinic coached by one of the best goalkeepers in American soccer history. Meola hosted a team practice and Allstate presented each player with new gear and tickets for the March 22 match between the U.S. Men's National Team and Costa Rica.

She discusses how the modern fathers' rights movement actually has a pro-mom result. We are glad to welcome her to the show to discuss an extremely important topic affecting fathers worldwide.

In addition, they strive to support and encourage those afflicted and their families as they struggle to endure, adjust and cope with the demands of these fatal illnesses. They have a yearly walk to help raise money and awareness called Every Step. Jim was kind enough to talk about his life and how fatherhood made him a better man. It was an honor to chat with Jim and hear the passion he has for making a difference in the lives of children.
