I have never seen a deer make legendary status like a buck we call 911. We first started following him during the 2008 - 2009 season. There were 3 of us hunting this deer over this time. His movements were like a ghost. Every once in a while we got a couple of photos of him and then he would disappear for a while. After hunting hard since September 10, I finally got a shot at a mature buck. I had a few chances at Sway but just could not close the deal. Frog Wallace of Frog's Buckshop recently shared a couple of video encounters he had with black bears on his river hog club. They were great footage and I thought I would share them here on my Website.

We just got a new lease this year and it is a 100 acres of clear cut that was recently put back out in pines. We put a couple of feeders out with our new Moultrie M80s cameras. This worked great until one day a storm came along and blew down the tree the camera was on. We were lucky that the camera was okay but I be darned that two weeks later it happened again. I got a new Apple iPhone 4S and realized that it shoots 1080p HD video and immediately thought that it might be good enough to use for my videos of this show. I did some testing and it worked great. Watch this video and see how well it works.

Well, I have been hunting Sway off and on this season with four different encounters during this season. Especially the one with him at 25 yards during bow season, but I could not get a shot. My Dad came over and he had only been here for 5 hours and he killed Sway. Back in October, I unboxed the new PlotWatcher Pro by Day 6 Outdoors and discussed its new features and capabilities. I put it in the field the day before opening gun season here in Georgia, and let me tell you it did not disappoint. I was blown away with the improvements. I recently decided to upgrade my camera arm after selling my Primos one to a buddy. I liked my Primos one but I wanted to try something new that was lighter to carry. Back in August 2010, I wrote an article and shot a short video on, "How to Make YOUR Own Tree Stand Safety System". Well the video has gotten a ton of hits and I could not understand why I had so many dislikes. I watched the video and saw that the video got messed up during the upload process and it goes black after a few minutes into the video. In this webisode, I review our new Moultrie spreader. We bought this spreader to spread corn at certain hunting locations and also to plant oats in locations where we have a hard time getting the tractor into.
