Entertainment 2.0 from The Digital Media Zone

Microsoft releases prices for Windows 8, a date for the Surface Pro launch, and an update to their mobile OS is coming soon. Richard has also been playing with a lot of new toys!

Josh and Richard are back from CES. They wrap the show up and take a look forward to the coming year. There was also listener feedback to respond to and news from the Windows Media Center community.

There was simply too much from CES to contain it within one podcast. Josh and Richard also had the benefit of meeting up with a bunch of listeners during the meet-up, and Josh took a microphone to find out what everyone thought of CES

Apparently just one episode of Entertainment 2.0 just wasn't enough to contain Ben Drawbaugh, so he's back for more this week! Actually, after last week's show Richard and Ben talked for another 30 minutes about UltraViolet and a few other topics near and dear to our hearts. It was such a good conversation that we felt compelled to share it with you. But don't worry, there was still listener feedback to respond to, and news to cover.

Ben Drawbaugh from Engadget joins the show to discuss SiliconDust's DLNA server support coming, along with the FCC's recent blessing of DLNA. This discussion transitioned into how it might be a sign of how this space may be changing. They also talked a little more about their experiences with the Ceton Echo.

Josh and Richard are back and have bunch of listener feedback to go into before talking about the Ceton Echo, Surface Pro, VLC for Windows 8, Windows Blue, the Nokia Lumia 920, and more!

Ceton broke a lot of news this week with their new products, and there were rumors of a new Xbox device. The guys also covered a couple of new Windows 8 apps that could prove useful. They also discussed updates to XBMC that make the project a more viable alternative to Media Center than it used to be.

Richard is back from his travels to discuss Windows 8, Media Center, and updates and deals for the Xbox 360.

This week there was a fair amount of information to discuss with regards to Windows Media Center, but unfortunately none of it was positive! Josh and Chris discussed those issues, along with the latest Windows Phone news, something exciting for HTPC users looking to watch VUDU, and of course the big change at Microsoft.

Josh and Richard are back again for episode 202, but Richard is recording from quite an exotic locale! Fortunately Josh was able to tear him away from the pool long enough to discuss the week's latest Microsoft entertainment technology news.

Episode 200 is now behind Josh and Richard, so they were able to get back into the news of the week. This was one of the biggest weeks of news for the Digital Media Zone yet, but could be one of the most important weeks in the history of Microsoft's existence! October 26th was the official release of Windows 8 and Windows RT, and October 29th they officially launched Windows Phone 8.

It seems hard to believe, but after over four years of recording, with four different hosts, Entertainment 2.0 has hit episode 200! To properly celebrate the occasion Josh and Richard brought back Adam Thursby and Craig Scholle, the only other people to really hold the title of host, to join them as they look back.
