On the backend of the Christmas story, we're confronted with a wonderful message of hope through Simeon’s prophecy in Luke 2. He helps us find peace in the tension of “hope realized” verses “hope to come”.
Joy should differentiate those who follow Christ.
The Holy Spirit is the true Spirit of Christmas, bringing us peace, hope, and joy. Peace is not primarily about the state of affairs that we live in; it is all about the state of being we rest in. In Isaiah 11, we see a picture of the peace Christ's birth brings us.
