 Episode 48 - Feb 2016 - Technique Podcast - Mixed By Kronology | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:01:22

Kronology have taken no prisoners in their assault on the scene since joining Technique last year. They've taken the big room sound and brought an uncompromising individuality to bear, laying out their template on their huge “Timelapse” EP. So, having made waves, now the LA team are back to deliver the aftershock. To coincide with their new single “Voyager” & “Forward Motion” we bring their brand new Technique podcast to fire up your D&B cylinders.....This release is where Kronology demonstrate they're going in hard for 2016. Not only are they proving their consistent ability to make the big room bangers, they're showing off a talent for twisting other sub-genres to their dancefloor-destroying will. As these tunes drop the year is still young, but these producers are already making their mark on it.TracklistMIND VORTEX - FUTURE FOLDDRUMSOUND & BASSLINE SMITH - THE TRUTH SIGMA - LIGHTERSDROPTEK - COLOSSUSSTATE OF MIND - BYPASSDIMENSION - DARK LIGHTSNEONLIGHT & WINTERMUTE - INSOMNIAKRONOLOGY - FORWARD MOTIONTORONTO IS BROKEN - A PLACE IN TIMEKRONOLOGY - VOYAGER T & SUGAH - WHATEVER YOU GIVE BMOTION - VICE CITYRESO - MOVE ITBMOTION IGNITIONDIRTYPHONICS - HOVERBOARDTANTRUM DESIRE - PUMPSIGMA - COMING HOME (BREAK REMIX)ENEI & MEFJUS - DEAD SPACEDRUMSOUND & BASSLINE SMITH - OUTLAW RENEGADEZHU - FADED (DELTA HEAVY BOOTLEG)BLUESCREENS - SORRYVALENTINO KAHN - DEEP DOWN LOW (DELTA HEAVY REMIX)MACKY GEE - SEWER SCUM (NORTHERN LIGHTS REMIX)CYANTIFIC - OUTATIMESUB FOCUS - TURN BACK TIME (METRIK REMIX)CULTURE SHOCK - STEAM MACHINESMOOTH - CARDIAC ARRESTTHE UPBEATS - RAIDERSSLOGUN & IOH - BEATDOWN (KRONOLOGY VIP)MOB TACTICS - RETURN OF THE SNITCH L PLUS - LOOKING AT YOU NEONLIGHT - HEAVY BETTIE VIPKRONOLOGY & DIVINE ELEMENTS -SUBMERGE DC BREAKS - GAMBINO VIPTELEKINESIS - BIASRENE LAVICE - LIGHTS OUTABOVE & BEYOND - ALL OVER THE WORLD (I SEE MONSTAS REMIX)AMC & SIX BLADE - KILLASUB KILLAZ - REEFERDIMENSION - PANZERAMC - SHADEAUDIO - NAPALMBOTNEK & I SEE MONSTAS - DEEPER LOVEMETRIK - TERMINUSSTATE OF MIND - UNCONSCIOUSTANTRUM DESIRE - OBLIVION VIPBREAK - GROOVE WITH ITGRADUAL - BEWARE FT.  Episode 47 -Feb 2016 - Technique Podcast Mixed By Gradual | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 59:43

As drum and bass made deeper inroads into the sunlit land of daytime radio and mainstream acceptance in 2015, the underground scene was defined by the dark and technical sound of neurofunk. And repping that style for Technique are one of their most recent signings, the Spanish production team made up of veterans Alerstorm and Ice Stereo, a team now known as Gradual. If you haven't caught up with Gradual's movements yet, this is where to get on board. Their next release shows just a few of the facets that these guys can bring to their sound. Along with the cold scientific studio skills, they've got a raw funky rhythmic sensibility, adding up to a clear understanding of how to keep raves electrified. They've got a lot more to show off, so better pay attention.TECH 130 – Gradual – Beware feat.  Episode 46 -Jan 2016 - Technique Podcast Mixed By Document One | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 59:02

It hasn't taken long for Document One to define their own niche among the Technique Recordings roster. Brimming with multi-genre experience, this team has come well-equipped with a fresh and clean production style, overt musicality and uncompromising levels of funk. This month ahead of their new single release, the boys take over the Technique Podcast & deliver a cracking mix.......Small steps - Document one  Snitch - L Plus  The truth - Drumsound & Bassline smith  Panzer - Dimension  Shadows - Tantrum desire & Matrix & Futurebound  Rush connection - Culture shock  Oblivion VIP - Tantrum desire  Jazz club - Document one  Ladies night - Drumsound & Bassline smith VIP Breathe - Dc breaks (dirty mix)  Black heart - Frankee  Times - Baskerville (Document one remix)  Obsolete VIP - Quadrant, Kid Hops & Iris Simpler times - Break  Follow me - Document one  What goes up - Document one  Falling - Document one  Raindrops - L Plus  Leave it all behind - Audiosketch & Surplus Repeat - Tantrum desire Outlaw renegade - Drumsound & Bassline smith  Nightmare - Tantrum desire  AM PM - Ekko & Sidetrack  Bail out - Digital vs Drumsound & Bassline smith  Warning - Dub motion  Forex - Ivy lab  Body like wow - Document one  WTF - Smooth  Troglodyte VIP - Culture shock  I gota fever - Document one  Human mind - Tantrum desire  Run the block - Document one “Run the Block” takes the tough but smoky sound that Document One has made their own and adds a layer of East Coast hip-hop flavour. The rap-along vocal, that trademark upright and synthetic bass fusion, the popping drums and live-instrument arrangement combine to give this tune jazzfunk energy in abundance. Then “Small Steps” flips the script, darkening things up in a way you might not be expecting from these guys. The intro is the sound of approaching menace, as military drums and an eerie dialogue sample ratched up the tension. Then the drop is all about those twisted tendrils of bass, snaking around techstep drums and ghost-in-the-machine stabs. This is what happens when musicality meets aggression on a hell-bent mission to mash up the rave. So, this release proves that Document One have a love and talent for all sides of this music. As their track titles declare, they “Run the Block” in the funk neighbourhood and they're making “Small Steps” into the shadowy technoid realm. Now they've shown they can kill the dance in both, it's clear the Document One operation doesn't believe in boundaries.

From the sweaty recesses of the grimiest jump-up raves to chart-topping, ad-soundtracking mainstream acceptance, 2015 has shown that this music has the full spectrum covered. And Technique Recordings, as always, has been up there at the forefront of the movement. This compilation, drawn from Technique's releases over the year, is here to confirm that point. As you'd expect, the veteran artists are representing in force. The mighty Tantrum Desire is a consistent presence showing off multiple facets of their anthemic sound, with tracks like “Sea Breeze” and “Oblivion”, plus quirkier offerings like the stripped-back DJ weapon “Pump”. And of course, their huge collaborations with Matrix & Futurebound and Drumsound & Bassline Smith are here too. Talking of the label bosses, they haven't held back on their contributions either, treating us to the euphoria of “I Need Somebody”, the filth of “Spring Heel Jack” and plenty more besides. Alongside those battle-hardened Technique warriors are newer recruits to the team. Document One have made a huge impact this year and the soulful vibe and dancefloor energy of tracks like “Follow Me” and “Jazz Club” demonstrate why. Aussie representative Spectrem brings some melodic jungle sensibilities to the album with “Say Goodbye”, while Erb N Dub & Skope deliver something powerfuly individual with “Drummer”. Neuro-specialists Gradual and big-room filler Kronology each deliver a couple of heavyweight pieces to cement their status too. Then there are those artists whose names you might not instantly associate with Technique. Brian Brainstorm drops some full-on break-twisting jungle with “Pon Di Streets”, for example. Melinki and North Base take us back to the sunshine with “Summer Solstice” and “Bikini Dance”, and even the legends Digital and Decoder & Substance grace us with their presence.  Episode 41 - July 2015 - Technique Podcast Mixed By Gradual Podcast | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:40:40

This months Technique Podcast is mixed by new recruits GRADUAL. New Signing – Gradual Drum and bass has grown up a lot since its UK-centric formative days. You've probably noticed that, over the last few years, Technique Recordings has been instrumental in bringing a host of international talent to wider prominence in the scene. Names like L Plus, MaxNRG, Spectrem and Document One are now regular fixtures on the tracklists of top echelon DJs for raves and radio alike. So, fresh for 2015, here's the latest addition to this fast-expanding global operation. Meet Gradual. If you've been paying attention to the tightly-knit Spanish D&B scene, then you'll already know about the DJs and producers called Alerstorm and Ice Stereo. And you'll know they've been steadily building their skills and profile for around seven years, dropping heavy releases on multiple imprints across Europe. If, however, you haven't been paying attention then you may have formed your own misguided idea of what Spanish D&B is all about. Maybe some laid-back, sun-kissed Mediterranean vibes with a bit of classical guitar thrown in? Well, check your prejudices and think again. These two have been ripping things up with their own brand of dark, deep and complex tear-out neuro-influenced drum and bass. They've given us force-laden rhythmic motifs folded and reshaped into multiple forms with layers of effortlessly technical bass and devastatingly powerful riffs. They've given us tight and aggressive drums that punch right in the solar plexus. That's the style that's seen Alerstorm and Ice Stereo cement their status in the world of D&B. When, three years ago, they recognised their complementary perspectives and began collaborating, it was clear that this team-up had the potential for even bigger things. And those bigger things have arrived in the form of a signing to Technique Recordings. Gradual, as the duo are now known, are now trained and ready to flex their skills for a wider audience than ever before. Here are two producers who've paid their dues and are prepared for Technique to take them to the next level. It's time for Spanish D&B to take its place on the big stage and show us all what it's really made of. TRACKLIST Volatile Cycle - Keep Steppin (Original Mix)  Cause4Concern - Lowlife (Maztek Remix) Dabs - Grindwerk Ft. Rymetyme (Original Mix)  Smooth - Cardiac Arrest Ft. Rhymestar (Original Mix)  Dimension - Maschinen (Original Mix) Dabs - That Door (Original Mix) Neonlight - Extrasolar VIP Rido - What You See (Original Mix) Maztek - Guttersnipe (Original Mix) Enei & Kasra - Greed (Original Mix) Coppa & Heamy - Cause a Riot (Original Mix)  Optiv & BTK - Dive Bomb (Original Mix)  A-Cray - Nuclear Whatever (Original Mix)  Signs - Modulate (Original Mix) June Miller - Chain Of Strength (Original Mix)  Mefjus & Rido - Optimum Trajectory (Original Mix)  Heamy - Entropy (Original Mix) Signs - Black Meat (Original Mix) Emperor - SMPL (Original Mix) AKOV - Wartalk (Original Mix) Lockjaw - Ghost In The Machine (Original Mix)  Segment & Concept Vision - Vacuum (Original Mix)  Phace - Digital Diet (Original Mix) Emperor - Tandem (Original Mix) Signs - Percuss (Original Mix)  For interview requests and further information, contact: info@techniquerecordin
