 Episode 17 - Sports Lawyer Darren Heitner | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3592

This week Kevin Israel and Matt Ritter steer the ship. We discuss the week's crazy legal stories. A professor at one of our favorite law schools, Ohio Northern, gets in hot water for getting too friendly with one of his law students. We also touch on the law firm in Houston that is paying their 1st years the equivalent of 414k in NY. We debate which cities we would live in if they paid that kind of money. Found out how Kevin feels about working as a lawyer in Vegas, Minneapolis, Detroit, Cleveland or KC. We also get into why the White House rejected a petition to build a real life Death Star. Then, Matt is joined by top sports lawyer and writer for Forbes, Darren Heitner. He joins us to discuss all things sports law. How he got his start at such a young age, some of the challenges of being a sports lawyer and how his age is now a big benefit. He also tells us things like the going rate for sponsor money in the bowling game and tells us that managing expectations and having a low key personality are the best traits in dealing with high profile clients. We discuss his potential future in politics and how 20 years from now when he's president, Comedians at Law can say we were there at the beginning!  Comedians at Law Episode 13 - Gun Control and Lawyer/Comedian Rob Lindo | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 5450

This week hosts Matt Ritter and Kevin Israel take a break from the jokes to express our grief over the Connecticut shooting and try to have a serious dialogue about the issues of gun control and mental health awareness in this country. We do however, feel an obligation to provide some laughter, so we invited another former lawyer turned actor/comedian, Rob Lindo on the podcast to discuss his experience. He and Matt share war stories from document review, he breaks down the world of commercial acting for the listeners and admits that although he looks just like him, he is NOT the discount double check guy.
