Born in Florence, Italy, she was educated and grew up in Argentina. She has reported on wars and conflicts in Afghanistan, Iraq, Kosovo, the Middle East. Since Pope Francis’ election she has focused on his papacy. Piqué is married to America’s Vatican correspondent Gerard O’Connell.
