Interpreting and understanding God’s word can seem daunting and overwhelming. In this week’s podcast, I share a message I spoke on a Sunday night at Bethel about how to understand the Scriptures and how we have been given the Holy Spirit to help us! One of the most important things we can do as a believer is have a relationship with the Word of God and seek to understand what God is saying. God is inviting you to know Him as the author and provide an understanding of His word. I pray that as you listen to this message that there would be a new passion ignited in you for the word of God!

The Lord is in the midst of a global reformation. In this week’s podcast, I share a word the Lord gave me about this current season and how we can prepare ourselves in the midst of transition. I’d propose that we are not in just a seasonal change, but that we are being changed — we are in the midst of a metamorphosis.

I have felt the Lord speaking to me about protecting our innocence and guarding our hearts for weeks and believe He is doing an incredible work in the hearts of man as He purifies our hearts and fills us with compassion for one another.

Living in God’s Kingdom means He takes better care of me than the bird’s of the air or even King Solomon. The foundation of that kingdom is honor. I had the opportunity to teach on Father’s Day last week, and in honor of father’s I want to share that message with you today. I believe we are in a season when the ugliness of fatherlessness is becoming the beauty of family values and legacy living through men rising to the occasion and not cowering in fear. We are being thrust into this place where we are becoming catalysts to a revolution that is transforming the family and setting our children up for success.

In this week’s podcast, I share a recent revelation the Lord gave me — we are no longer going through a transition, we are going through a metamorphosis. Transitioning is a process of going from one season to another, but a metamorphosis isn’t about changing seasons it’s about changing us. I believe we have moved into a new season where the Lord is breaking off the things that once served us well, but that we actually no longer need.

King Solomon said, “The crucible for silver and the furnace for gold, but people are tested by their praise.” (Proverbs 27:21) Abraham Lincoln put it this way, “Nearly all men can stand in adversity, but if you want to know a man’s character, give him power.” This week, I share about the importance of authority—having it and submitting to it.

Did you know that in the story of the ten minas, the reward for stewarding money well is getting more responsibility? In this podcast, I teach on the principles of how the favor of God works as exemplified in Luke 19. If the Lord gives you $500 more than you need, but then you figure out how to cause the money you were given to make money—if you can create an ecosystem—the Lord says you should be over cities. The men in Luke 19 are responsible for, let’s say, $500, but his next promotion is 10 cities! My point is, oftentimes the Lord gives us a reward and we think that we’re overwhelmed. Often the challenge is, we complain about the reward, not realizing that the responsibility is the reward. We have the privilege of being responsible for feeding more people, having the responsibility for more cities, etc. The reason I think that this is really profound right now is that I feel the Lord saying, we need to be the ones to give people something to eat like the story of feeding the 5,000. Many look at the world and are asking the Lord to take care of all of the issues and problems and wanting Him to get rid of them. But I feel like the Lord is saying, “You give them something to eat.” I believe that in darkness, it is our time to rise. The reality is, we’re about to do the great exchange—beauty for ashes, joy for mourning. As we are rising, we are going to get a reward, and that reward is more responsibility. And if we aren’t careful we will cross the street thinking we don’t have what it takes. But the Lord wants to co-labor with us.
