After reading a couple of personal takes on expansion I figured why not drop mine. Here is why I am enjoying the expansion; the ends justifies the means to me.

So yesterday at #YB11 I wrote about the ACC having to fix things after backing the wrong horse. It did not go over well. So, now we'll have to expand upon that and get into why, it just is what it is.

We look at the new rules in college football; kickoff and helmets. The kickoff rule is a big deal that is supposed to limit collisions, but will it? As for the helmet rules, I'm not really sure why they are even implemented.

Florida State and the Big 12 appear closer than ever to getting into bed together. The four super conferences are slowly shaping up. This is all sorts of crazy fun to look at hypothetically!

We take a look at something that happens every spring; position changes. They go on all the time but what do they really entail? We look at the offense to defense, positions on defense and the big move to center for offensive linemen. Plus we look at Mike Vrabel being banged for a secondary violation because he was dipping on the sideline.

Bill O'Brien is about to name a starter. Mike Gundy has already named Wes Lunt his starter. Auburn, Notre Dame, Florida and Texas do not have a true starter named yet. The longer a quarterback battle goes on the less prepared the players are to play in game one.

Florida State proves to be the most valuable team in the ACC, based upon viewership in the 2011 cycle. How that plays into things cannot be understated. We also talk about the $2,000 stipend that is barely hanging on as a possibility.

Liberty is the latest school looking to move to the FBS level. But why? The small school in Virginia thinks this is better for their program, but is it a sustainable model?
