Summary: Our mission is to provide listeners with interesting, informative, thought-provoking interviews featuring individuals involved in myriad realms of mysticism, spirituality and magical theory and practice: authors, sorcerers, academics, entertainers. We’ll be looking into everything except inter and intra organizational politics as that’s ground very thoroughly tilled by other programs. Jake Stratton-Kent has been a goetic magician since 1972, making more than forty years of continuous goetic practice. His practical work integrates the magical papyri, Italo-French grimoires in particular the Grimorium Verum and African traditional religions with a focus on Quimbanda and magia negra. His interest in magic spans the ancient, medieval, renaissance, and modern as well as stretching from the West to the Middle East and crucially, the New World.

Joseph discusses putting together a witch's handbook from the trial records of the Venetian Inquisition. This grimoire, or handbook of magic, was confiscated by the Venetian Inquisition in 1636 from practicing witches.

Host Harper Feist speaks to Rain Al-Alim, which is the nom de plume of the author of Jinn Sorcery. He has chosen to remain anonymous to avoid the stigmatization that practitioners of magic and sorcery can experience in his country - and the punishment can include beheading in some countries. He holds a degree in journalism and is currently studying Arabic philology; and he has studied and practiced the occult arts for approximately 17 years.

The designation ‘Tarot de Marseille’ does not refer to any one specific deck of cards but to a common pattern shared by many different decks. All of the Marseille pattern decks share the same structure and similar imagery making them easily identifiable as belonging to the Tarot de Marseille family. Fascinating stuff!
