Chief Buchanan is author of the Volunteer Training Officer’s Handbook from Pennwell Books and Videos and lectures throughout the country on fire service leadership and training topics.  He is co-author of the Red, White & Blue Ribbon Reports from the Volunteer/Combination Officer’s Section of the International Association of Fire Chiefs.
