This week's epidode is the epitome of Murphy's Law...anything that could go wrong does! Glenn can't find parking...his car's transmission overheats....Migs hurt himself so he can't fully move his neck...and The Rev can't get the board to do the simple things it needs to do. Despite all of that, we soldier on thanks to Cary & Linda bringing us TimBits from Tim Hortons, and a surprise appearance by Thee Ted Smith. Enjoy!
Today's episode is our very first podcast in the new KISW studios...and we welcome the band "Jar Of Flies" (Alice In Chains tribute band) in studio to chat about their upcoming Layne Staley tribute show that is happening on August 19th at The Moore Theater! We also hear an incredible story from their lead singer, Rane Stone, about going to North Dakota to help those affected by the Standing Rock protest.
This week's MigsCast features the fellas in Van Eps! Big thanks to Matt, Bobby, and Jake from Van Eps for hanging out...and premiering new songs off their upcoming second record! You can buy the record at their big CD release show on August 11th at The Crocodile (they are playing with Ten Miles Wide, Devils Hunt Me Down, and Omni). Also...huge thanks to them for coming in as without them we wouldn't have done a podcast this week (between vacation, and a sick Rev...it was an uphill battle)!
This week Glenn is on location as he is prepping for Windowpane's trip to play a festival in Maryland. Steve pits Glenn vs The Rev in the "Rejected Or Not" game...as we go through some vanity plate requests that were denied by the Washington DOL. We get an incredibly observant voicemail, and we catch up on what happened at the Windowpane show at Jazzbones last Saturday.
This week we had Tony & Christon (and Glenn too of course) from Windowpane in studio...they have a big show at Jazzbones in Tacoma this Saturday night.
