Ripon is a small college in east central Wisconsin. He joins us to discuss his history in the sport, how the Ripon team started, and what it's like to coach college cycling. Under the leadership of Coach Damm, the Red Hawks have established themselves as one of the premiere collegiate mountain bike programs in the Midwest by winning the MWCCC Division 2 Team Championship, as well as the men's and women's D2 individual championships, in three consecutive seasons. The Red Hawks recently made their third appearance at Collegiate Mountain Bike Nationals in Angel Fire, New Mexico. Ripon put two riders on the podium and finished 8th among D2 programs.

He currently is riding with The Bike Hub Cycling Team (http://www.thebikehubcyclingteam.com/) Corey brings an impressive resume. He was a runner until injuries led him to cycling in 2009. He was a NCAA Division 3 National 10k champion and 4-time All American in Cross Country and Track. He ran one of the top 100 marathon times by an American between 2004 and 2008, resulting in an invite to the 2008 US Olympic Trials in New York City. In 2009 Corey raced his first mountain bike race in the Sport (Cat 2) category. He is now competing against the fastest pros. His 9th place finish at the Iola Bump & Jump proves that determination can overcome.
