Writer, actor, comedian, film director and all-around smart guy Demetri Martin is mounting a 40-city stand-up tour this fall. The Conan O’Brien and Daily Show alum recently directed and starred in his first feature film, Dean . He also had a Comedy Central series called Important Things . The standup tour Let’s Get Awkward will bring Martin to The Egg in Albany on October 6 at 8 p.m.

SculptureNow’s 2017 outdoor exhibition at The Mount in Lenox, MA is entitled, Nexus. It is on view through October 31st. Shakespeare & Company is adding a special benefit performance to its God of Carnage run on October 5th. Proceeds will help those impacted by Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria and will be donated to the One America Appeal. Yasmina Reza’s God of Carnage is running through October 8th in the Elayne P. Bernstein Theatre in Lenox, Massachusetts. The Tony and Olivier Award-winning play, directed by Regge Life, is about two sets of parents that meet to address their son’s recent playground fight.
Shout Out Saugerties is a new Festival of the Arts and Humanities that launches this month with more than 64 local and area artists and public figures participating. Over four weekends from October 6 through October 29, Saugerties joins communities across the country in the nation-wide National Art and Humanities Month that promotes culture in America.
