Today, Ed speaks to Israeli Author, researcher and speaker, Avi Lipkin in a phone interview to his home in Israel. Avi discusses the present issues facing this tiny nation from all sides. Missiles fly in nightly [79 in one night recently] from Gaza, as Iran postures about killing every Jew, as Egyptian leaders join Iran in the ‘kill all Jews’ rhetoric and Hezbollah packs Southern Lebanon with tens of thousands of missiles ready to unleash on the Jews. Was it for the Early Church only or does it still function today? Ed discusses the teaching by some well-known preachers that the gifts were for the days of the Apostles only and that once the bible was codified, they stopped. After going through their logic and reasons, he spends the rest of the program sharing how the gift of healing has actively continued for all believers. Having taken his listeners through an actual Mormon temple ritual and exposing that darkness to the light of Biblical truth, Ed felt he could do no less with the Masonic rituals. In today’s program, Ed first discusses a recent U.S Religion Census report that the Mormon Church was the nation’s fastest growing Christian Church. However, The Salt Lake Tribune reported that the figures were seriously skewed to give a false picture. In fact, the LDS church continues to lose most of its converts. The facts speak volumes! In 1982, the late Dr. Walter Martin [the original Bible Answer Man] spoke before a group of several hundred former Mormons and missionaries to the Mormon people at a conference Ed held in near Salt Lake City His presentation there, titled, A Baptism of Boldness, has become a historical one, a classic call to arms for every listener to defend the faith once given. On this week's program, Ed digs into the delicate and difficult subject of Roman Catholicism. Difficult, because on most of the main points of Christian Commonality, Roman Catholicism stands with orthodox Christianity. It is when they bring in the many traditions of men, that they slip into heresies. Ed decided to take on this subject when the Pope recently declared all other “Christian” Churches were in apostasy and truth and salvation can be found only in The Roman Catholic church.
