It is a digital video recorder (DVR) that can be used to record and watch live television on a variety of devices, including smartphones, tablets, and streaming devices. Some of the benefits of using Channels DVR include the ability to record and watch live TV, schedule recordings, and watch recordings on any device with the Channels app. Additionally, since the DVR runs on a network-attached storage (NAS) device, users can access their recordings from anywhere on their home network and share them with other devices. Channels compares to the rest of the DVR space in these 5 ways: Compatibility: Channels DVR is compatible with a wide range of devices including Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, and web browsers. Recording options: It allows users to record live TV, schedule recordings, and record multiple channels at once. It is particularly well-suited for people who want to be able to record and watch live TV on a variety of devices, and who want to be able to access their recordings from anywhere on their home network. Some additional considerations: Cost: Channels DVR requires a one-time purchase for the app and a monthly subscription for the guide data, whereas other DVRs may have ongoing monthly or yearly fees.  Edward Weniger from Alpha Bitcoin and an Update on the Crypto Business and Market – HGG549 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:10:59

I have Edward Weniger, President, Alpha Bitcoin and local to Omaha. We discuss the advantages and disadvantages of mining Bitcoin at home and on a commercial scale. We note that while commercial mining operations have higher overhead costs, they also have the potential to generate more revenue. They also discuss the energy market in the United States, noting that Texas deregulated its energy market some years ago. Prices for energy have gone up since then, but the state still offers some advantages for miners. Edward discussed the recent Ethereum hard fork and merge, and expressed his opinion that the merge is a bad thing. They also talked about power consumption and how it is not profitable to mine Bitcoin at home. We finish with some discussion about a Home Gadget Geeks meetup on May during Bitcoin day in Omaha.  Agent Cru from WineSpies with a Better way to buy Wine and all kinds of Wine Gadgets – HGG545 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:19:32

Agent Cru from Winespies.com joins us this week. Winespies not a wine club and there are no subscriptions to purchase. You simply buy what you want, when you want it. And with my favorite feature, you can build a case over time, using an industry-exclusive Locker feature. Add a single bottle – or as many as you want – to your Locker, and they will keep your wine safe and cool in their secure temperature and humidity-controlled warehouses. And they will ship it to you on your schedule…FOR FREE…when you fill up each Locker case of 12. Locker orders are also better for the environment, with an average 50% reduction in carbon output. Seems like a win/win to me! I started a Locker right after the show! You can too at Winespies.com We also cover a bunch of wine gadgets at the end of the show. Stay all the way to the end for some helpful tips and tricks Thanks for listening.
