As stressed in that blog post and by David in this podcast, it is possible that you may not encounter all of these problems when you update to iOS 7. The reason for posting this podcast, is that it adds to what we have published elsewhere on AppleVis - it is sometimes simply easier to understand something when you hear it happening. If you have yet to update, this podcast will give you some idea of what problems may exist. If you have updated, then this might help to explain some of what you are experiencing.

With either a spoken word or a simple tap on the screen, you can progress through the story in multiple-choice dialogue moments like those you often find in adventure or RPG games. Your iOS device recognizes your speech (or accepts the tap of a button) to trigger and play the next sound file. Choose between options to accomplish your mission objectives and listen to the drama unfold as characters react to your decisions. Be the type of spy that you want to be in a world of action and intrigue. In his demonstration, Harrison plays through the game prologue, which is a free download. To play beyond this, you need to make an in-app purchase - $1.99 for a single episode or $7.99 for Mission 1. Mission 1 includes five episodes. Episodes 1-3 are currently available for download and additional sidequest missions 4-5 are scheduled for release in September 2013.

Improvise Musical Soundscapes.on Your iOS Device with Noatikl 2 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3946

In this 65 minute podcast, Ken Downey gives us a walk-through and demonstration of Noatikl 2, an iOS app that enables you to improvise musical soundscapes. Note from Ken: I want to warn you before you even get the app that it is extremely complicated. It's accessible, but it is complex! If you have a low frustration tolerance, don't even try to tackle it. Just get the app and load one of the two preset files and play it. That will give you an idea of what It can sound like. This is by far the most powerful musical generative app I've seen today. I hope you all enjoy it! By the way, this is not a composition tool. You have a certain song in mind, this won't help you write that song. For that, you need tools like GarageBand. This is more like being a conductor of an orchestra, where you set up Rules that you want your song to be governed by, then listen to the result. Noatikl 2 is free to download, but if you want to be able to save the files you make with it, you have to pay $10.
