What's on JOE Mind?

Summary: One thing that the Star Wars and Transformer fandoms have are good podcasts to choose from. For GI Joe...well, not so much. UNTIL NOW! Chuck, Justin, Mike and Gary have teamed up for the #1 Joe ONLY podcast on the net! No magic laser swords, no morphing robots, no gladiators, no silly turtles, just GI Joe and only GI Joe (unfortunately, that includes Ninjas, so we hope you don't mind...). Each episode we summarize the news covering everything from the toys, the comics, the cartoon and the recently successful movie sequel. We also interview high profile members of the community, review the latest product and discuss topics of interest to Joe collectors in our own show produced segments. Its fast paced, its funny, its interactive and its informative. Think of Sports Talk Radio meets GI Joe and you got "What's on JOE Mind?" We are a member of the Geek Cast Radio Network and are also hosted at Stitcher SmartRadio and InsidePulse.com. We advertise for these sites and other partner podcasts. If you have an issue with ads, you may want to skip. Are you a fan of Action Force? Then you will want to listen to our very own spin-off show, WOJM Presents: The Full Force! Join our friends in the UK - Chris, Eddie and Dave as they entertain, educatue and inform you about this international incarnation of GI Joe. You won't want to miss it!  Episode 47: What’s on JOE Mind? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:43:34

YES!  This IS episode 47 despite Gary calling it 48 in the opening - d'oh!  Oh well, it couldn't be edited out to sound seamless, so we'll run with it.  Yeah, it was a matter of time before that happened.  Welcome to Episode 47 folks!  You won't want to miss this one for TWO name alone.  No, not Justin and Mike, try Flint Dille AND Larry Hama!  They both join us as guests ON THE SAME SHOW.  Yeah folks, no kidding!  First up is Flint who talks about a wide range of his previous work and its not all Joe and Robot talk either.  Visionaries, Inhumanoids and even Buck Rogers take up some significant talk time.  Hopefully, if you are like us, you found what he had to say truly fascinating and chalk full of information.  IMMEDIATELY following Flint, we are joined by Operation Red Retrieval Director Mark Cheng who brought along 2 special guests to make an exclusive announcement on WOJM.  Joining Mark was the actor who played Beach Head in Operation Red Retreval, Joe Barbagallo and GI Joe writing legend Larry Hama.  What are they announcing? What could Mark and Larry possibly be up to?  Well, listen and find out!  In the news, the GIJCC launches a new secure website, Retaliation figures begin to appear on eBay via China and a new Joe/Robot trade is set for a September release.  Now, you may also be asking yourself, "Self, where is the Kevin Michael Richardson interview?"  Well, with this episode being so packed, we decided to push back the interview another week or so so that we may focus all of our attention on the guests who joined us this week.  You WILL hear the KMR interview in its entirety very very soon.  Until then, sit back and enjoy Episode 48....er, I mean 47 of WOJM!!

 Episode 46: What’s on JOE Mind? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 02:28:14

Well, we're caught up now.  This was SUPPOSED to be our listener email episode, but due to timing of getting the previous show out a week late, we dipped into our mailbag for some existing email that you have provided us.  You listeners never fail to deliver and Chuck picked us out some questions to for us and Craig to mull over.  In a very full second half of the program we cover the news of the week as Sideshow announces a new Snake Eyes figures, Renegades is coming out on DVD despite our unknowing banter in #45 and a composer is announced for Retaliation.  After the news Gary and the guys go over the show survey results and bat about your dislikes and likes about the program.  Before we wrapped this show up, we plug in a pre-recorded interview with Zack Hoffman, aka the Sunbow voice of Zartan that we're sure you'll enjoy.  It's spring time folks!  So break out the lawn mower, charge up that MP3 player, plug in those earbuds and enjoy the next couple of hours of Joe-talk while you work in the yard!

 WOJM: The “Lost” Episodes #2 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:20:30

As you know we have Craig on from The Fwooshcast all the time.  He's almost like our "5th Beatle", albeit an Aussie.  So when Craig asks if we can do a special bit for him and his show, you KNOW we'll answer the call with a full production 20 minute mini episode. We were asked:  "What was your best, worst, and most surprising figures of 2011 and what are you looking most forward to toy-wise in 2012?" We recorded this WAY back toward the beginning of the year, so the content is a little old, but unless you heard it on the Year-in-Review edition of The Fwooshcast, it will be somewhat new to you.  Consider this a little bonus for being so patient for episode 45.  :-)

 Episode 45: What’s on JOE Mind? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 02:49:19

WOW!  Episode 45 is here!  Better late than never, right?  So yeah, its a week late, but we gave ya over 3 hours of RORC3 coverage, so that made up for something didn't it?  Apologies in advance.  With travel and all, it made it difficult getting this out in a timely manner.  We'll make it up to you, trust us!  In this episode we are joined by TWO very special guests.  First, just joining us as a guest host and hanging out is US Marine, fan of the show and a REAL American Hero, Will Bell (no relation to Justin).  Siting in the interview chair this week is Frederic Doss to talk to us about his upcoming fanfilm GI Joe: Initiate and his roles in BOTH the live action Joe and Transformer films.  From the mailbag, Chuck is asked about the obscure South African wrestler Col. DeBeers joining the ranks of Cobra, Gary is asked why he hates Transformers so much, and was there ever a time anyone on the cast has ever lost interest in Joe and *gasp* STOPPED collecting. In the news, Hasbro responds to the latest issues with Fun Pub and the guys celebrate the conclusion of a long running show joke.  Also covered in the news is the lack of new Joe broadcasting on the hub and a mystery Joe wave was found in the WalMart computers that has the look of being cancelled.  After the break you will hear a pre-recorded interview with Sunbow writer Buzz Dixon as we talk to him about the toon and find out some stuff about the most dangerous man in the world AND what would have happened to Cobra Commander in season 3 if the series didn't get lost to DIC.  We thank Will for joining us and wish him continued success in his rehab and thank him for his service to our country.  If you agree, kindly drop a comment in on this episode to let Will know how much you appreciate him as well!!
