Ex-LucasArts employees Tim Schafer, David Dixon and Jonathan Menzies formed Double Fine Productions in 2000.  L.A. Noire – Cane and Rinse No.98 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2:02:06

“Well you picked the right place, Cole, a city that needed an honest cop like a thirsty man needed water.” After the best part of a decade in development, Team Bondi’s gritty detective procedural L.A. Noire finally hit consoles in 2011. Leon, James, Jay and Josh pull out their curly-cornered notebooks in order to establish the “truth” about the game. Is there any doubt that the facial tech gave off mixed signals? Were the positive reviews nothing but a lie? Cane and Rinse community members also submit their evidence. http://media.blubrry.com/caneandrinse/caneandrinse.com/podcast/cane_and_rinse_issue_ninety_eight.mp3   Music used in this issue: 1: Main Theme by Andrew Hale 2: J.J.  Super Meat Boy – Cane and Rinse No.97 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:36:20

Using the foundations laid down by a 2008 flash game, Edmund McMillen and Tommy Refenes crafted what would become one of the most talked about and well loved digital releases to hit Xbox Live Arcade and PC. Combining precision platforming, with a charmingly juvenile sense of humour, Super Meat Boy catapulted the two halves of Team Meat into indie super stardom. http://media.blubrry.com/caneandrinse/caneandrinse.com/podcast/cane_and_rinse_issue_ninety_seven.mp3   1: Main Theme by Danny Baranowsky 2: Betus Blues by Danny Baranowsky 3: Escape! by Danny Baranowsky Cane and Rinse 97 was edited by Sean O’Brien Do you have an opinion about this particular game or maybe about our podcast in general?  Fahrenheit – Cane and Rinse No.96 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:58:54

James, Tony, Sean and special guest, GamerNode's Eddie Inzauto contend with fourth wall breaking, multiple bouts of coitus and nonsensical story telling to give us the lowdown on Quantic Dream's 2005 work of *ahem* "digital entertainment" Fahrenheit.  Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory – Cane and Rinse No.95 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2:19:28

“Agh! I knew it! I knew there were ninjas around here!” Two and a half years after they released the first of the Splinter Cell series of games in November of 2002, Ubisoft gave us, what many consider to be the high-point of the series to date – Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. James, Karl and Darren Forman avoid the infra-red cameras and various armed patrols to give us their thoughts regarding the third game of the ongoing Splinter Cell series. http://media.blubrry.com/caneandrinse/caneandrinse.com/podcast/cane_and_rinse_issue_ninety_five.mp3   1: The Lighthouse by Amon Tobin 2: Ruthless (Reprise) by Amon Tobin Cane and Rinse 95 was edited by Jay Taylor Do you have an opinion about this particular game or maybe about our podcast in general? “It’s about time you showed up, Fox. You’re the only hope for our world!” Corneria, fourth planet of the Lylat System. The evil Andross turned this once thriving system into a wasteland of near extinction. General Pepper of the Cornerian Army was successful in exiling this maniacal scientist to the barren, deserted planet Venom. Five years later, General Pepper noticed strange activity coming from Venom. James McCloud, Pigma Dengar, and Peppy Hare of the StarFox team were sent to investigate. Upon their arrival, Pigma betrayed the team, and James and Peppy were captured by Andross. Peppy barely escaped Venom and returned home to tell James’ son Fox about his father’s fate.
