May 2, 2022 - On this Monday version of The Terrible Take, Alex Kozora explains why he is not a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers drafting two quarterbacks this year.

May 2, 2022 - Season 12, Episode 124 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right back it in reviewing the 2022 draft class that the Pittsburgh Steelers put together over the weekend.We talk about the new Steelers wide receivers, George Pickens and Calvin Austin III, in more detail in this show and go over several key stats of each player. We also discuss the news that the Baltimore Ravens were looking to draft Austin in the fourth round.Alex and I also quickly go over the drafts that the other three AFC North teams had over the weekend.We discuss a few of the Steelers’ UDFA contracts in this show and if the team will pick up the fifth-year option on inside linebacker Devin Bush on Monday. In this Sunday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right to giving our thoughts on the Pittsburgh Steelers four selections that they made on Saturday to wrap up their 2022 draft. This means we talk a ton about wide receiver Calvin Austin III, fullback Connor Heyward, linebacker Mark Robinson and quarterback Chris Oladokun.After discussing the day-three selections, Alex and I then review the 10 undrafted free agents the Steelers will sign. We also address the Steelers signing of free agent safety Damontae Kazee that happened Saturday night.Will the Steelers add more free agents moving forward into the offseason? We address that topic and try to give some initial grades of the Steelers 2022 draft class not even 24 hours after the event has ended. In this Saturday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right to giving our thoughts on the Pittsburgh Steelers selecting wide receiver George Pickens and defensive lineman DeMarvin Leal in the second and third rounds of the 2022 NFL Draft on Friday.Alex and I go deep into why Pickens and Leal were the Steelers picks on Friday. We then talk extensively about what we have seen on tape from both players to date and what each needs to work on at the NFL level.After a long talk about the day-two selections the Steelers made, Alex and I build a list of players that are strong candidates to be day-three selections by the team. In this Friday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right to giving our thoughts on the Pittsburgh Steelers selecting quarterback Kenny Pickett at 20th overall in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft.Alex and I go deep into why Pickett was the pick for the Steelers and how there is no question he was their QB1. We talk about how Pickett is the most NFL-ready of the 2022 QBs and how he fits into the Steelers quarterback room. We go over all of our big concerns about Pickett and how we think it could limit his ceiling. We talk deep ball, situational football, mobility and more.After a long talk about Pickett, Alex and I go over the other things that stood out after the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft. April 27, 2022 - Season 12, Episode 120 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right to giving our final thoughts on the 2022 NFL Draft before it gets underway Thursday night in Las Vegas, NV.Alex and I have late discussions on if the Pittsburgh Steelers will move up in the first round to draft a quarterback this year. We also discuss if Mississippi quarterback Matt Corral could be their guy based on a conversation QB coach Mike Sullivan apparently had with David Carr of the NFL Network.Alex has completed his entire 2022 mock draft as of Wednesday morning, so we review it in this show and especially the first round of it. We talk about players we would bang the table in the second half of the first round and beyond.Alex and I haven’t talked a lot about Georgia defensive tackle Jordan Davis possibly being the Steelers first round draft pick this year, so we fix that in this show. We discuss the likelihood of Davis landing with the Baltimore Ravens and talk about how the Steelers would use him if they wind up drafting him.Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert talked a little about defensive end Stephon Tuitt recently, so we cover that tiny quote from him. In this Tuesday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the latest news concerning the Pittsburgh Steelers, and there’s a little bit of that thanks to a few recent developments. We start of by talking about the Steelers-re-signing safety Terrell Edmunds to a one-year contract worth $2.5 million and the impact that will have, if any, on the 2022 NFL Draft.On Monday, Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert and head coach Mike Tomlin held their annual pre-draft press conference so with that, Alex and I discuss the primary takeaways from it. That includes us talking about the future of defensive end Stephon Tuitt, how the team views backup running backs Benny Snell Jr. and Anthony McFarland Jr., how the team scouted quarterbacks this offseason, and how they likely addressed visitors to Pittsburgh.Later in this show, Alex and I discuss our final Steelers mock drafts of 2022 that we reach released on Monday. We go selection by selection and then look back at our mocks with our regrets. We also talk about favorite players we have in this draft that we wouldn’t mind seeing the Steelers draft.
