Jim has a lot of great stories about how much Splash's development was influenced by the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, and what Disney had learned there.
Jim also gives a brief overview of the other Potter lands' history, plus what be coming next.
We don't need no stinking summary.
Jim also talks about a proposed Indiana Jones stunt show at Disneyland, with details I've never heard before.
We also talk about rumored changes to the TTC and a River Country DVC timetable.
Look for a new show about Star Wars within 24 hours.
Bonus: We also talk about the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, and Macy's wooden escalators in NYC.
We also get to hear how Frank Wells gets hired by Disney. With Eisner, they formed a great management team.
We'll also talk about the latest details (and possible opening date) for Rivers of Light at Disney's Animal Kingdom.
You'll notice that one of the ideas not used for Disneyland Fantasyland, eventually got used in the Magic Kingdom.
Disney faces a unique problem with Shanghai's Main Street, because the guests won't be familiar with 19th-century America or, indeed, with many of the Disney characters. So they're going to have to introduce all of the Disney brands and the Disney concept of a theme park at the same time. Jim talks about how they're approaching that huge challenge.
Show notes to come soon.
