Rob and Mike discuss the Discovery Channel's show "The Colony." There are many in the survival/preparedness community that deem this show a waste of time. Rob and Mike disagree, believing that the show has value, particularly in the 'what not to do' category.

Todd and I had a discussion over email on what the likelihood if us seeing hyperinflation in this country, and if we were to see it, what did I recommend to do to prepare for it. Todd has been reading several books on the coming bad economy and noticed that all of the suggestions were focused on people who had more than $100,000 of investments. Todd had posed the question of what are us regular guys supposed to do? How should we get ready? We explore this in this podcast. There are lots of good info-nuggets in this podcast!

Part 2 of the Inflation and Hyperinflation podcast.
Rob, Greg, Mike and Jeff discussion inflation and hyperinflation. Our goal for this podcast was to explore what hyperinflation might look like in this country. We cover historical inflationary events, define some terms and look at what it could mean for us here in the USA. In short, we don't really know, other than it's not going to be pretty. Severe inflationary periods is never easy on the people, and hyperinflation can bring out the worst in people. Rob tries to steer the conversation away from politics, but Jeff points out several times that it's sometimes difficult to do as politics is often what drive us into hyperinflation.
