The Scout Oath begins with Duty to God. The Scout Law ends with reverence. So it should be no surprise that Duty to God is such an integral part of Scouting. Robert Baden Powell, the founder of Boy Scouting, said, "The uniform makes for brotherhood, since when universally adopted it covers up all the differences of class and country."
