Dave wanted the kids to mess up when they were under their roof and Ann totally didn't want that. Dave helped Ann see a different perspective, where they can lay things down at Jesus feet and know they can handle the things that happen.
One of the best moments is when you're so thankful you're almost in tears but you know the author of those blessings..
God is passionate, loving and devine, it changes everything. When Jesus changes you, it changes your marriage, and everything. You're a better parent, spouse etc.
God uses marriages to shape and define us to be a closer resemblance of who he is for us.In marriage you will find that it won't meet all your needs, marriage was built to refine us. God wants to shape us to become more like him.
There is a cost to being controlling in marriage, don't fall into it.
Comparisons are easy in marriage but it's not helpful and that's not real
Make the decision to talk about things in your marriage. Talk about your relationship, it's good to see where you can improve.
Monitor how much time you're spending away from your family, evenings and moments together are sacred and it's important to prioritize them.
Ask your kids what bugs them, take their concerns and see what you might have to reassess.
Ann asked her kids what they don't like about her, she learned so many things *and through that she was able to compromise with certain things and explain why clear boundaries were set.
Through unmotivation and tiredness it's still so important to pray for your kids at night.
All the Dave's energy was going into work after they got married. Put the energy you put into the job, into your wife. Make her feel loved. Don't quick pursuing your wife atfter you're married
Ask God how he sees your wife then speak life into your spouse.Start speaking life into your spouse
Teach your kids along the way, bedtime, mealtime, car time, it's an overflow of your walk with Christ in your everyday life.
Dave and Ann felt like they made the biggest mistake by marrying each other, they both thought the other person would make them happy!
