We’re just a week away from the Xbox Games Showcase, which means we’ll be diving into Infinite coverage pretty soon. With DJ back with their two new puppies Astro and Alfie, it’s time we take another look at fan games and mods, and see what the teams have been up with for the past couple months. As we start the Halo Infinite coverage, you may see the show format change a bit, but we’re still bringing the latest Halo and community news to you.

While DJ’s off getting his puppies this week, it’s time to cover another book. This time, we’re starting to dive into the young adult novels by Cassandra Rose Clarke with Halo: Battle Born. Another good short read, this book follows four late teens and Spartan Owen before the events of Halo 5: Guardians on Meridian. Welcome back to another guest filled episode, this week featuring Ascend Hyperion. We’re always on the look-out for community content and Ascend is doing just that reviving his Forge spotlight series. Head on over to his YouTube channel to see what he’s doing. Meanwhile, there’s plenty of community items to cover this week along with the latest Community Spotlight and MCC Development Update.

It’s been a whirlwind of a week and we did two episodes this week to cover everything going on. We’ve had three extensions of the Halo 3 PC flight, Mixer shutting its doors and our first official teaser for Infinite confirming the Banished will be in the game. It’s been a while since I’ve done a solo-recording of the podcast, but with the delightful conversation with Tim Dadabo last week and with a lot of things to cover this week, I decided to break things up. Most of the content in this episode is what we were going to cover last week and we still have our podcast recording live tonight. We’ve got our usual run-of-the-mill playlist, HCS and community updates.

We have a very special guest on this week taking up our whole two hours to share stories and provide answers to the community’s questions for Tim Dadabo, voice of 343 Guilty Spark. Recounting tales from Halo: Outpost Discovery, to discussing Tim’s entry into voice acting, we hope you’ll find this interview with our first voice actor on the show an enticing one. The world is certainly in a state of chaos, but while we continue to social distance and fight for social justice, thankfully Halo is still here and we have a couple of great announcements this week. First was the unexpected announcement of Halo 3: ODST’s Firefight mode coming to MCC and second was the start of Halo 3 flighting on PC to include Forge and Theater! All of the hosts and most of the staff will be playing and streaming over the next week or however long the flight lasts, so make sure you check out their personal stream channels. And as always, we cover the latest community news and playlist updates.

We’re back with another week of fan project updates, this week focusing on the fan mods on Halo: Custom Edition and ones that incorporate Halo into other games. There’s also an update to Halo 3 coming to the Halo Insiders next month and our usual official and community news updates.

Inspired by the question posed to Halo content creators on YouTube by Installation 00, we’re happy to present this special collaboration among many different Halo podcasts to answer the question, “What makes Halo, Halo.” Every person who’s played Halo or stepped foot into the universe has some piece that tugs on their heartstrings the most and keeps them invested in the franchise. Joining us in this discussion are Podcast Evolved, Composer’s Abyss, Halo Outreach Podcast, HCS Pro Talk and Forward Unto Dawn Podcast. Hopefully through this collaboration we strike a few chords and perhaps inspire you to share your thoughts on the question with your podcast community of choice.

It’s that time again where we take a look at all the updates the community projects have had over the past couple of months. This week, we look at the fan games and miscellaneous projects as we’ll take a look at fan mods next week. This week’s community poll also has us looking at the Covenant races and there were a few unexpected responses we gathered from the community. If you caught the latest ONI Archives video, you may have heard something at the end that has the community tingling with Hunt the Truth vibes again.

We had some guests lined up for this week’s show, but life happens and schedules change, so it’s up to the three hosts to hold down the show this week as Halo 2 Anniversary comes to Halo: The Master Chief Collection on PC, and not without it’s own set of problems. The MCC Pro Series was also announced with weekly online PC tournaments happening starting next weekend. As usual, we have our normal round of community updates.

As fate would have it, we’re looking at July until we get our first big showcase of Halo Infinite news but there’s still the Xbox Series X Gameplay Event… where not a lot of gameplay was actually shown. Alas, we do have the pleasure of having UberNick as a guest on this episode to talk about why he loves Halo so much and what’s the cost of a dab. We brought the community survey back asking you what your favorite game mode in Halo is and as always, our look into the community happenings.

We’re still in a bit of a news drought, but we did get work of an Xbox Series X press event happening net week showcasing some of the games on the console being developed by 3rd party developers, so it’s not likely we’ll see any Halo Infinite new, but one can hope. In addition to a Twitter community update, conclusion to the Halo 2 PC flight for MCC, and our normal community update, we are pleased to introduce to the co-hosting cohort of Dust Storm and Godzilla T, a community veteran and life-long Grifballer: DJBluePDX! In addition to finding him on Mixer, you’ll now be able to find him on the podcast here every week! We’re happy to welcome him and we hope you will too!

We have a double feature this week as we just released our interview with Installation 00 yesterday, which was pre-recorded before this episode. Both together would have resulted in over three hours of content, so we decided to keep them separate for this week. We cover the latest community spotlight, have a new poll to discuss, and some unconfirmed “leaks” that we chime in on going around the community.

We had a strong start this year with guests on the podcast and we’re happy to bring on more guests. On this episode, we have our interview with Installation 00, a YouTuber who has been making waves in the lore community with his detailed breakdowns of multiple different subjects. Although he’s one of the more recent YouTubers in the scene, he’s really taken off just crossing 50,000 subscribers and posts multiple videos every week. You can find him on YouTube and Twitter.
