We also hear about a Rockteer reboot-sequel, what's coming to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and debate if comic book spoiler leaks are piracy. Level one is wrapped up with a talk about the DCCU and what could be done to make it great again. In game industry news, Nintendo Power gets released online and there was much rejoicing. We also discuss Roll20 and its addition of D&D supplements. Level two gets wrapped up as Tony fills you in on all the latest Destiny news, Valve releases their VR software for free - and we decide to have a serious talk about if the Nintendo NX is already dead in the water. Over in the world of entertainment, we get into the remake of Pumpkinhead, and Tony gets excited for the SPLASH remake. We also have Lionsgate talking about their new Vestron Video line, and a new horror anthology coming down the pipeline from Canada. Our main topic for level 3 is about the current state of the film attendance industry. Our epilogue this week is about controversy in Science Fiction and if it's important to have. There's also a new Marvel loyalty program and we get down and dirty about the progress DC Comics has been making with their re-re-re-relaunch, REBIRTH! In game industry news, No Man's Sky tells us what they DON'T need, Marvel Ultimate Alliance comes to modern platforms and Ubisoft backs the Nintendo NX. We make level two into a burrito by wrapping it all up in a big discussion about the Xbox handheld that never happened. Over in the world of entertainment, we pour one out for the VCR before moving on to more SDCC news coming from the world of ALIENS. We get into the newest Disneyland attractions as well, and talk about if we really want an Evil Dead 4 movie. Before we head into the future, we take a pit stop into the past - on an all new episode of...The Surly Nerd! Because we could... Greetings adventurers, and welcome to this weeks installment of The Surly Nerd! After a long hiatus due to technology related issues, we are happy to finally be releasing our 150th episode to you! This weeks episode is a lot more personal than normal. Usually we would be bringing you all the best nerdy news for your ears, but because we are celebrating the big 150 - we going to open our lives up to you, our faithful adventurers. This weeks episode will cover what got us into being the geeks that we are today, the ups and downs of being nerds, being picked on and loving geeky things so much that we decided to make a news show about it. Next week will be a proper return to form, but until then, thank all of you who tune in every week to listen to us rant. If it wasn't for you, we would just be two assholes screaming into a microphone every week.  We've come a long way!
