The Don Geronimo Show

Don begins by telling us that he hasn't had a haircut in 2 months, and his hair is getting so shaggy that Janet scheduled him an appointment - for two Saturdays from now. Don then plays a video of New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, who is helping his new girlfriend, who is half his age, with an audition tape for a new Vince Vaughn movie. The guys have a good laugh at how awful the acting is. Don also calls in Ron and Billy from promotions. Ron and Billy have passes to see "Ted," and Don sends them out to Howe and Arden to give them away. After Little Joe tells us about his daughter keeping him awake until midnight last night, Don introduces us to a woman from Arlington, VA who has the largest breasts in the world - 102 ZZZs, that each weigh 42 lbs.

Today is the 1 Year Anniversary of Don taking over the morning slot at 1140 The Fan, and he begins by telling us how much he appreciates all of his listeners, as well as all the guys on the show.

Don begins the day with a new bath salt story: apparently a guy snorted bath salts and ate his own feces! The guys then talk about the Home Run Derby last night, and Don tells us how much Chris Berman annoys him. After Don and Craig tell us about their love for Jamele Hill, the guys talk about the Tom Cruise/Katie Holmes divorce, which was settled in record time. This leads Don to tell us about his first marriage when he was a teenager, which ended disastrously, and his relationship with his first daughter.

We're back!! Don and the gang have returned from there vacation, and Don has all kinds of stories to tell us about his trip to Ocean City, including the debacles he and Janet encountered with a rude steward, the baggage claim, the rent-a-car place, and the TSA. We also hear about Don's uncomfortable hotel bed, the "That's what she said" guy at the beach, a naked baby, why old people should have their own airlines, and why family gatherings should only last 15 minutes. While we were away, Andy Griffith passed away, as did Ernest Borgnine, and Don asks who will complete the trifecta. Don decides to call Abe Vigoda to make sure he's still alive, and Abe invites Don out to coffee that morning!

Don begins by telling us that Bipolar Mary flaked again. Apparently, instead of calling Little Joe the night before, she decided to drop a Facebook post on his page, just minutes before we went on the air! After Joe reads the message he sent back to her, Don calls in Bobby the Fish, who brought in fireworks to set off. Don sends him out to the front parking lot, and then tells us about his visit to the eye doctor with Janet yesterday, which included a disgusting bathroom, all kinds of annoying little kids, a 55 minute wait, a hot doctor who examined Don, and trying to drive home with dilated pupils. After a quick discussion of Ann Curry on the cover of USA TODAY this morning, we go outside, where Little Joe and Bobby are outside setting off the fireworks. We then hear that Charlie Sheen's new sitcom, "Anger Management," debuts this evening, and Little Joe tells us about going to the private screening of "Ted" last night, which he says is awesome! Today, Don begins by telling us that Bipolar Mary has flaked on us today. She says she can come in tomorow, but we'll see what happens. Don also tells us about his visit to Ace Hardware yesterday to get a chain for his toilet, and in between hacking coughs (Don has a sinus infection), Don calls up a few phone sex lines, including a live chat line, in which the guys take turns leaving dirty messages, and Don even pulls out the John Wayne soundboard.

Don begins with the Extreme Amy tweets over the weekend, inspired by a few conversations we had on the show last week. We then hear Slow Joe's story about walking the dog early this morning, in which he saw a guy hiding from his drunk girlfriend. After revisiting Steve's bully revenge story, BiPolar Mary calls in to tell us she's been off her meds for 5 days. We then hear that at the prison Jerry Sandusky has been sent to, the prisoners are singing Pink Floyd to him at night. Phantom then tells us about his trip to Fullerton over the weekend with his son Kyle, and we hear a mash up Craig did for Phantom, involving The Knack and John Wayne. After Don calls the house of Karen Klein- the bus monitor who got bullied on youtube last week, and talks to her son, Don tells us about a banner plane in New Jersey that towed a swastika above a beach over the weekend, and the guys discuss who will replace Ann Curry on the "Today" show. Don begins by picking up where we left off yesterday, on a story about a 68 year old bus monitor named Karen Klein, who was bullied by middle school students. A video of the bullying has gone viral, and apparently Karen has received over a half million dollars in donations from sympathetic viewers, leading to her retirement. This gets Steve on his stories of being bullied in high school, and how he got his "revenge" by "beating them up outside of a bar with a baseball bat or tire iron (he doesn't remember)." We then hear an edited version of the bullying, before Don plays us a video of a British dad getting shocked by his car battery every time his son would start the car. Don beins with a simple question: Why are we still #2 in the ratings? Even though our numbers are up, we are still behind those hacks Rob Arnie and Dawn. And although Don has a tremendous amount of respect for Armstrong and Getty, who put out a good show every day, he hates how lazy Rob Arnie and Dawn are, how fake they are, and how disloyal they are to their fans. Don calls them the "Jay Leno of radio," and tells Steve to write a parody song about them for tomorrow's show. Don then calls in Ron from promotions, and their new intern, Bobby the Fish. Don begins with Lebron's "S" bomb on national TV last night, during Game 4 of the NBA finals. He then introduces us to a "sex addicts hotline" a listener hipped him to, before telling us about his visit to the dentist yesterday, the ladies that work there, being given the remote to the DIRECT TV while in the chair, and the procedure that will be done to implant a new tooth. We also hear that the station is getting AC upgrades throughout the building, which means there will be no AC in most of the building today. Don also calls his brother Jim numerous times today, first to ask him if he ever knew about the "D.O.T." story, then to talk about the Mark Twain School he attended, his son he found on Facebook, their lousy parents, and how their parents got their Aunt Levita to spy on him.

Don begins the day with his new role for Steve: Show Announcer. He even gives Steve a some new lines for the show's intro. Don then asks Steve about his Sandusky parody song that he apparently can't sing on the air because it's "too over the top." We then hear about Don's wife Janet's mammogram yesterday, and their "scrunch the balls" conversation. Don and Steve then pull out their iPods and play "Who's iPod Is Gayer?" The guys then get into a discussion about the new transcripts of the Sandusky trial, and this leads Don to tell us about his own locker room stories, in which he would "check out" guys to see what they had packing. Phantom then asks Don which D.O.T. guy was the most well hung, and that leads Steve to tell us about the weird guy in his neighborhood who would pick up teenage guys with beer, and have his way with them. Don begins by telling us that 2 years ago today was the first episode of his new show in Sacramento. Don talks about trying to do his show from Ocean City, MD in the beginning, then moving out here, and all the craziness in the past two years that he says has been the best time of his life. Don also tells us about his Fathers Day, in which he got the interior of his car cleaned up, went to his favorite restaurant: Dominics, and finally saw The Avengers, which he said was just OK.

It's fight night! Don and the guys are at the Woodlake Inn in Sacramento for the big Blind Boxing Match between Little Joe and Blind Neal! Don and the guys talk about the scene in the Woodlake ballroom, and as the ring is being set up, Little Joe interviews a few of the people responsible for the set up. We also meet a new intern named Robert, who used to work at a Christian radio station, and now that he is at 1140 The Fan, he wants to go to the Bunny Ranch! Steve pulls out his guitar and plays an off-the-cuff song about Michelle Beadle's twitter pic of her and a statue of a naked monkey, and once the ring is set up, Craig and Joe go into the ring for a quick warm up, before the crowd starts to arrive. Among the fans who show up early are loyal listener Star, and her husband Jessie, and Jerkman88, who are all there to support Joe. Don talks wih Joe about his last minute fight preparations, and recording the event tonight so that we can play it for everyone on tomorrow's show. The guys then hear tape of David Stern's interview on the Jim Rome Show yesterday, in which he was so irritated with Rome's "Is the draft lottery fixed?" question that he asks Rome, "do you beat your wife?" We even get a "visit" from the Commissioner to have him elaborate on his comments. We then hear the sound that Craig recorded at yeterday's weigh in for Joe and Neal, and the first minute of the Grant Napear Show yesterday, in which Don's "Tracy Davis" voice modulator was left on. Don then calls Dave the Deserving Dad, fresh off his visit to the Moonlite Bunny Ranch yesterday, but gets his voice mail, so Don leaves a message in true Doni G fashion. Don begins with a hemmorhoid discussion, in light of Phantom's sports update, which included a soccer player who bursted a hemmorhoid during a game, resulting in blood soaked shorts. Phantom, Steve, and Craig all say that they've had hemmorhoids before, and Steve has even been with 3 different women who've had them. Don is fascinated by this, and wants to get one, just to see what it's like. The guys then get into a discussion about yesterday's post-show meeting, which involved Craig "donkey punching" his sister, his Grandma Bev's boobs, and his girlfriend Paris' toys.
