We're still on lockdown and I'm still Dewin it! My HoneyDew this week is Justin Martindale! Justin is a True Dew and he does not hold back! We talk about his Texas cheerleading days as a closeted mascot before he was outted, getting yelled at by his pastor's wife (which still affects him today) reconnecting with his father at 25 and his 2019 that included embarrassing himself at his HS reunion and taking his grandmother off of life support.

The saga continues! Joey Diaz returns to The HoneyDew! Starting in the summer of 1982, we cover from the ages of 18 to 20 (I think). We get to the Denver days, Denver nights, Denver drugs & Denver B&Es. I’m documenting Joey Diaz’s life story until we’re current! It could take 50 episodes and Joey might be in his late 60’s by then, but damnit it’s happening here on The Dew!

My HoneyDew this week is Taylor Tomlinson! Taylor is the oldest of four girls and her mom died when she was eight. We talk about what life was like growing up without a mom and not having many memories of her. We also talk about the engagement she broke off last year, a few months before taping her first hour special.

My HoneyDew this week is Mark Normand! Mark shares some stories of childhood trauma including a home invasion where his parents were tied up and held hostage, a bed wetting phase, and the time he shit himself on a field trip. Mark talks about a different kind of back door incident that also did not go so well for him and his dream gig opening for Seinfeld and how he screwed it up big time. It’s another Dewzie!

My HoneyDew this week is Chris Distefano! Chris’s mom is an Ivy League grad & his dad is an ex con. Chris has some unbelievable stories about his father who, despite spending the early part of Chris’s life in jail, is still a big part of his life. We also talk about heartbreaking break-ups and the unexpected joys of becoming an unexpected father. I love me some Chrissy!

My HoneyDew this week is Andy Roy! Andy is a former professional skateboarder who talks about coming up through the ranks to become pro. Along the way he made some bad choices that lead to addiction, a life of crime, and ultimately prison. Andy shares stories about prison life, gnarly places to inject heroin and a desire to get his teeth knocked out in a fight. It’s a Dewzie!

My HoneyDew this week is Yannis Pappas! Yannis opens up about the deaths of three important people he lost last year. He also tells a story about being shot and how the bullet got lodged in his ass and how the doctor had to remove that bullet. We get into some of his stories from his drinking days including defecating in a woman’s sneakers during a black out. We talk about the time he was completely edited out of a season of Last Comic Standing and if that's not HoneyDew enough, he also has herpes. I appreciate Joe and everyone who has come on the show and opened up. It's not easy to bare your soul.

My HoneyDew this week is Tim Dillon! Tim returns to talk more about his parents - his mom is a former mermaid who currently suffers from schizophrenia and his dad is a former musician who is currently still a former musician. Tim shares stories about hanging out in crack houses, doing cocaine and drinking in middle school. He also talks about coming out of the closet and what it was like when his subprime mortgage gig bottomed out. It’s a wild one!

My HoneyDew this week is Joey Diaz! Joey joins me for part 3 of who knows how many parts! We get to age 18! He talks about the teenage years including his crazy step-father, practicing karate, working for the mob, and an exciting halloween party. Joey also talks in depth about finding his mother dead and how it affected him. It’s another great episode from the one and only Joey Diaz!

My HoneyDew this week is the King of YMH, Tom Segura! Tom returns to talk about his overdose on GHB when he was in college and the rehab that followed. We also talk about a recent incident where he took a mega-dose from Joey Diaz on a flight, and one of the dirtiest football plays of his life. Tom wraps up with advice to his 16 year old self. This was such a fun episode!

Happy New Year! It's 2020 and I'm kicking off a monster January with my first guest of the new decade! My HoneyDew this week is Dan Soder! Dan and I have similar stories and this episode came right when I really needed it. When Dan was 14 his dad died of cirrhosis and when he was 16 his older sister was killed in a car accident. We get into what happens when significant people in your life die and how that plays out over the rest of your life. This was such a fun, deep episode!

We're closing in on a new day, a new week, a new month, a new year, a new decade - it's about to be 2020 y'all! I appreciate all of your support for The HoneyDew!
