Movie Banter

An eclectic mix this week - Red, The Kids are All Right, and Made in Dagenham. Plus more movie mashups, and desert island flicks centres on best film featuring lesbians. Strictly mainstream movies before you get any dodgy ideas. Also a guest appearance from Paul's baby son Joseph, and a squirrel. Long story.

A jam-packed banter - Paul's back from paternity leave, Jenny's back from acting, and Jon is somehow geekier than ever. No-one should be able to name all 7 Police Academy films. We cover Saw 3D, The Social Network, and Burke & Hare, discuss movies based on board games, recall being insulted by famous people and the responses we wish we'd made, pick our favourite computer-based films, and play our new movie mashup game.

A special this week - Jon and Paul cover their (and your) most hated movies of all time, covering Batman and Robin, Problem Child 2, Teen Wolf Too, The Fountain, and many more....

We're back with a bumper selection of movies to banter about - The Town, Buried, Tamara Drewe, The Other Guys, and Devil, in approximate order of quality. Plus our plan to replace Jenny with Gemma Arterton takes a sinister turn, Paul conjures up a disturbing casting couch image, and Jon envisages an unusual KFC bucket.

A special episode this week - TV banter! Paul and Jon take a look at 24 and Lost, now sadly no longer with us, together with a few other of their current favourite TV shows such as Louie, Dexter, Smallville, Supernatural, and more...

Another action-heavy episode this week - The Expendables, Piranha 3D, and last but not least The Switch, just to calm everything down with a romcom. Also Jon demonstrates a surprisingly loud slap, Paul unintentionally self-edits sex and violence from a gory movie, and Jenny shouts "sperm". There's context, honest. Plus Desert Island Flicks is "best 80s action movie".

We're back with a full podcast - Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, Knight and Day, and Salt. Heavy on the action, heavy on the banter, heavy on the post-Edinburgh hangovers - what more could you want?

The first of two summer movie round-ups this week - we review the A-Team, and take a look forward to The Expendables.

An Inception special this week, as we felt it was warranted - if you've not yet seen it and want to remain in the dark until you do, save this one for afterwards. Our in-depth thoughts on the movie, together with a few theories, facts, bits of trivia, and other related banter. Plus we touch on the potential of Tom Hardy as a new Bond, Paul somehow uses the term "knob weasels" (we were confused too) and our introduction takes a somewhat disturbing turn.

Hooray! A good movie week! Toy Story 3! Inception! Oh, and Predators. Discussion of these, plus mother-and-baby screenings, Spanish cinemas, the best Leonardo DiCaprio films, and all the usual waffle.

A mini-banter to tide you over this week - Paul and Jon get frustrated at the great Back to the Future hoax of 2010, evade attack by a giant wasp, and take a look forwards at Inception, Predators, Toy Story 3, and The Karate Kid.
