Recently, a group of five Antiochian bishops traveled to Damascus to meet with His Beatitude Ignatius IV, Patriarch of Antioch and all the East, about a February 24th decision of the Holy Synod of Antioch affecting the status of the bishops in North America. Following that meeting, Matthew Namee, host of the new podcast American Orthodox History, spent some time talking with His Grace Bishop Basil of the Diocese of Wichita and Mid-America, part of the Self-Ruled Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese in America. From April 30 through May 3, the thirteenth Western European Orthodox Congress took place in France. Six hundred and fifty Orthodox individuals attended the event, representing all jurisdictions and several European countries. The conference theme was "Creation: Placed Again into Our Hands," and one of the plenary speakers was our own Peter Bouteneff, host of Sweeter Than Honey. Here is his speech, titled "Adam: Where Are You?"
