Lost Gods show

Lost Gods

Summary: Kweku Anansi is just another member of the African diaspora, trying to make a place for himself in his adopted home of Toronto, Canada. He dreams of better days, of a time when he could be stop running small time cons just to make the rent. He dreams of the life he used to live, centuries ago when he was revered as a god. A chance encounter with a fellow con man with a dark and secretive past of his own, plunges them both into the dark world of the lost gods, gods who would do anything to be worshipped again. Including destroying the world, if necessary. How far will Anansi go to reclaim his godhood? What will he give up to have true power again? The answers can be found in “Lost Gods”, a new weekly podcast novel from author Drew Beatty.

Hello Tricksters, Finally it has happened. After years of waiting and wondering when they would catch up with me, I have been comitted to the Brink.nbsp; I finally snapped after working on this freaking episode for so long (as of this writing it is currently crashing Audacity every time I try to edit it, so we will see if I ever get this up!) They are being very good to me here at Brinkdale. You can visit, or get committed yourself! All right, let's see if I can finish this damn thing. Story So Far: I totally forgot to do one. Jeebus this episode is making me mad. So, Coyote and Anansi try to have a civilized dinner, but Kanene realizes that something is amiss and drugs Coyote. Anansi uses the Baron's hat and bones to transport them to the library, where they warn Judy. Thinking his friends are safe, Anansi is ambused by Pritchard. Promos: None this week, I just can't edit anymore!

But, I have some great news for this week! Firstly, the poll results are in! I can say that you are all now to be known as: The Tricksters! So, hello tricksters, I hope you have been enjoying the show! Big congrats go out to Ron Earl Phillips, who suggested the nickname. I will be in touch with you about your prize, whatever I said it would be (now I forget - I'm not really a "details" person.) Next, I hope to see lots of you at Podcamp Toronto this weekend! Feel free to introduce yourselves if you see me wandering around looking confused, as I usually am. I think there was something else I wanted to say, but I forget. So, on with the story! Hey people! So much to write about, I don't even know where to start. I will start with some good news for fellow podcaster James Melzer, who just got nominated for a Dead Letter Award! Check out all the details at his blog @ www.jamesmelzer.net! Or just go straight to the ballot @ http://improbabilia.com. Also, sorry James, I called you James Metzer - I knew a guy in high school called Metzer, and everytime I read your name, I think Metzer, not Melzer. Next up, I am the subject of a virtual sitdown at PopSyndicate.com! They are doing a special series on Podcast Novelists, so you can check out me, Pip Ballantine, and Greg Crites there. The virtual sitdown is very cool very detailed, and Angela Wilson had some great, insightful questions for me. You can check it out here: Virtual Sitdown with Drew Beatty Finally, please, if you have not had the chance to do so, check out the What Should I Call the Listeners of Lost Gods Poll and cast your vote! I will shut down the poll in 1 Week! Finally (really this time) Episode 10. Thanks for listening. Story So Far: Squidboy Promos: Literarynbsp; Lugwrench, Podcamp Toronto 2009
