In the second half of the podcast Rafe and David discuss, in more detail, the acquisition of Qt by Digia from Nokia, and the sale of 500 patents by Nokia to Vringo.
In All About Symbian Insight number 220, Steve, Rafe and David open with a brief discussion on the number of new and updated apps being released for Symbian. Steve shares his concluding thoughts (for now) on the Nokia 808 PureView and talks about smartphone platform life cycles. We also cover Nokia Q2 2012 results, which leads the team to a general discussion on the future direction of smartphone platforms.
