 07/17/13 - Show #377: "A New Raiders Stadium In Oakland?" | File Type: audio/x-mpeg | Duration: 1727

TOPICS: Segment #1: "Raiders looking into a new 56,500 seat stadium in Oakland" The Raiders and the City of Oakland are studying the feasibility of building a new stadium on the current site in Oakland that would have 56,500 seats. The Raiders say they could contribute $300 Million towards the estimated $800 Million project. If the NFL gave them a $200 Million loan as they did for the 49ers, this would leave $300 Million. They estimate $100 Million could be gathered via personal seat licenses. This still leaves $200 Million, and the city and county still owe $100 Million from the previous coliseum renovations in 1995. Segment #2: "Oakland Raiders ranked #32 in the PFT Pre-season Power Rankings" Raider Greg says, "the Pre-Season Power Rankingsā€¦.what in the hell is THAT?" He gives you his feelings on the Raiders being ranked #32, and predicts that they will NOT pick first in the 2014 NFL Draft. Segment #3: "What if Aaron Hernandez had been a Raider and not a Patriot?" We hear some of Matt Flynn's introductory press conference and Raider Greg gives his opinion on these developments. Segment #2: "What is Reggie McKenzie's Matrix? - New free agent signings" The Raiders signed several new defensive players, running back Rashad Jennings, and there are reports of more players coming in to Alameda almost on a daily basis. TOPICS: Segment #1: "Tuck THIS!" NFL owners approved all six of the rule changes proposed by the Competition Committee, including the elimination of the "tuck rule". The rule that never should have been, which stopped the Raiders from advancing to the AFC Championship game on January 19, 2002. Raider nation is a little upset that the NFL defended the rule for so long, and now is finally eliminating it. We relive that painful event one more time, and Raider Greg gives his take. Segment #2: "Burn it to the GROUND!" GM Reggie McKenzie looks to be beginning a major rebuilding of the Raiders by not retaining a few former key players and picking up some reasonably priced free agents for our defense. Will there be any more free agent moves, or have we seen the last for this off-season? Raider Greg gives his thoughts. Segment #3: "What will Reggie do in the Raiders 2013 draft?" Will we keep our #3 overall pick and use it ourselves? If so, on who? Defensive lineman? Linebacker? Quarterback? Will Reggie trade down for more picks? Will we take a QB in the later rounds? What about Carson Palmer's situation. That could have a major bearing on what we do in the upcoming draft. Will Terrelle Pryor be our starting QB, or will it be someone we don't yet have?  02/20/13 - Show #368: "New Raiders Asst. Coaches Meet With the Media - and other Raiders News" | File Type: audio/x-mpeg | Duration: 6144

TOPICS: Segment #1: "King Goodell?" It was recently reported that NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell made $29.5 Million in 2011. Raider Greg gives his opinion on this story. Segment #2: "New Raiders Coaching Staff Meets The Media" The new Raiders assistant coaches met with the media at Raiders headquarters recently. There are videos of the meetings on Raiders.com and we added some of the audio to this show. Questions and answers with new Raiders Offensive Coordinator Greg Olson, O-Line Coach Tony Sparano, Special Teams Coach Bobby April, and Linebackers Coach Bob Sanders. Raider Greg watched the videos and gives you his impression of the new coaches and what they said. Segment #3: "Mt. Davis will be tarped over for the 2013 season" In a new approach to selling out the Oakland Coliseum for every game to avoid television blackouts, the Raiders will tarp over the upper deck of Mt. Davis this season. This will reduce the capacity of the Coliseum to 53,250 (down from 64,200). People with season tickets in that upper section will be relocated to the 3rd deck of the "old" section of the Coliseum. Since those Mt. Davis ticket holders were paying $25 per game, all other seats in the 3rd deck will be reduced in price down to $25 per game. Raider Greg is happy. His 3rd deck 50 yd. line seat will drop from his original $82 per game price down to $25 per game. The other sections of the Coliseum will see a $1 per game reduction in price.
