Allergies in Hawaii Today I cover the top reasons why some tourists and locals might be sniffling, sneezing, and wheezing while in Hawaii; Vog, Mango, Trade Winds and Mold. While Hawaii may be a getaway for some from mainland allergy seasons, for others Hawaii harbors the types of allergens that may drive people crazy during their vacation. While this topic has been somewhat dismal, the good news is allergies are curable! Well, not curable per say, but they are completely reduced by over-the-counter medication. Don't let a runny nose or watery eyes ruin your vacation to Hawaii! Beat the vog, mangos, trade winds, and mold and be prepared! If you easily fall victim to allergies, then don't let them spoil your relaxing getaway. Chances are, you won't even feel the affects of allergies anyways, because studies show it takes time in one location before allergies kick in. It's often referred to as the “honeymoon period”, and is why so many vacationers never suffer from allergies in Hawaii. So don't fear if you have allergies, Hawaii might just be the ideal place for your getaway from the spring and summer seasons in the mainland! Four islands in 14 days Planning a Hawaii vacation to four different islands is one of the most challenging requests we receive as a travel company. And travelers might be surprised to hear that this type of multi-island vacation cannot be done online. Because of its detailed planning process, online travel agencies like Expedia and Travelocity cannot create a vacation like this. They are simply not equipped with the vacation arrangement tools. We often get calls from people who are extremely frustrated and fed up with trials and tribulations of the planning process. But this can all be avoided! Today I helped a podcast listener plan a trip to Hawaii like this one. I offered some suggestions and ideas about the thought process behind deciding to do a multi-island vacation to Hawaii.

The Hawaii Vacation Connection has now moved to Mondays! I decided to move the show to put more space between this podcast and our Lucky We Live Hawaii show which airs every Thursday. This gives me the opportunity to prepare a little more and let you know what's happening here over the weekend. On Today's show we hear from a Facebook friend and also a long time customer/podcast listener about questions they have about their upcoming trips to Hawaii. Katie Is planning her honeymoon to Maui and is getting a little overwhelmed now that she's discovered how many things there are to do when she gets here to paradise. She just may be getting a little over ambitious so I offer her some suggestions to add or subtract to her itinerary. We also hear from Perry who has made several trips to Hawaii using our company but is now bringing his entire family. If you are a listener to the show you know that I'm an advocate for advanced planning and that's exactly what Perry is doing now that he has decided to bring his whole clan. We offer up some ideas of what he should be thinking about to start the planning process As he puts together this exciting adventure for his family. Finally, I go over some ideas about the various Watersports that are available when taking a Hawaii vacation. Hawaii is notorious for its year-round warm ocean and it's exciting watersports that enhance a vacation. Whether you're an avid scuba diver a beginning surfer or someone just looking to snorkel the Reefs of the islands, Hawaii's one of the top spots for water sports activities.
