 ep 6: Pimp My Fridge | File Type: video/mp4 | Duration: 126

This episode is pretty self explanatory. We switched ride - to fridge... And hilarity ensues. Notes From Dan: This parody has been our most popular post for better or worse. It's the most "mainstream" video we've done and we're not sure if we got our point across. Our Point: Pimp my Ride is shallow nonsense and the fact people spend their time doing this depresses us. As well they usually get rid of things a car needs like say a back window! I know everyone needs a playstation in their car and all but seriously you have no friends so it doesn't matter. Second Point: In Canada we don't have any good original Canadian tv shows so we just import from the U.S. or knock off a show from the U.S. - Canadian Idol, Video on Trial, Uncovered, Girls will be Girls, Much on Demand- etc etc.etc. So that's why this parody is of fridges and is such low quality. Oh yeah, well that and we don't have a budget. This video has been a featured post at Addicting Clips, VidiLife and was the Google Video of the Day. Unfortunately I think people really just like the idea of fridges being pimped. Most comments are good idea!! NO NOT A GOOD IDEA - It's a parody!!.. sighs. Sad Fact: There is now actually a website in Canada where some guy is pimpin fridges - YOU CAN'T MAKE FUN OF ANYTHING - things have become this bad. www.pimpmyfridge.ca - Sighs. Anyways we're taking a break for the weekend so we posted two today - so brace yourselves. Their is a post below too. Thanks again to the guys at Hollow9ine! Cool show guys. I give you a better thanks below.. more reason to scroll down kids! With Love, Dan

 Ep 5 - Because They Can - Ipod Version | File Type: video/mp4 | Duration: 283

Everyone seemed to like the preview of this so much that we wanted to make sure you could easily download it to your portable device. Special Thanks to TomPaine.com who on Wednesday made our spoof "Sponsor a Missile" their PASS IT ON feature. Another Special thanks to the guys at Hollow9ine for giving us a shout out on their show. Be sure to check their show out - it's pretty original. Warning you will have to use your imagination if you listen - there are no fancy flashing pictures (you remember your imagination, right kids?). Check them out here: http://hollow9ine.podomatic.com/ Cynically Tested presents Because They Can. A Parody of VH1' s the Fabulous Life Of. Notes From Dan: After posting this at YouTube the real voice over actor from the show Chris Flockton emailed us and said his wife loved the spoof and made him watch it. For the record that whole "american actor putting on a fake british accent" we were just kidding Chris, really. Honestly the show is umm what's the word - ahh nevertheless thanks for the email. This sketch has two versions, one where the audio exists for the commentators and one where it doesn't. Let's be honest these people have nothing to say. This video is the first that we know of to feature a "gay floating head". We feel we've brought a lot of issues forward for a lot of people. So there you have it, enjoy and tell us what you think and if you haven't already tell people about the podcast! Thanks, Dan

 Ep 4: Cynically Tested Pilot - Ep 2 | File Type: video/mp4 | Duration: 144

The second of three Pilots done for the now non existent Reel Blogs. In this episode Brian wants to quit his job but doesn't want to deal with the confrontation so he gets Dan to call in for him. We gave this episode the CNN treatment, so be sure to watch the clip again and read the ticker complete with made up news stories. Notes From Dan: Though this was done as improv - the story itself happened a few days before. I really did quit a job for my roommate over the phone. Unlike some I'm Pro Confrontation. Cynically Tested's Sponsor a Missile post is getting some attention from the Blogs - it has been featured on Jesus General, Talk Left and LeftWord so thanks to those blogs for linking us. If you have any questions or comments leave us a message and maybe we'll do a podcast answering your question - or maybe we'll ignore it. That's the risk you have to be willing to take.

Ep:3 Biting The Hand That Feeds Us - Ipod Spoof | File Type: video/mp4 | Duration: 42

Cynically Tested presents the latest Mp3 player. So small it doesn't even exist. Rant: Does anyone else hate Apples monopoly on the music world right now? If you go anywhere it looks like a National Geographic documentary on our species but instead of tags on our ears, we all have ear buds. Soylent Green is itunes? Besides the fact their basically the only Mp3 player anyone owns; they're also influencing the music industry, and not in the best way. Radio stations now try to go for a formula of "itunes-esque" - which means it's possible you'll hear the Velvet Underground followed by Cyndi Lauper. (i'm kidding they don't play the Velvet Underground on the radio). If i wanted to hear James Taylor and Jay Z back to back I would have killed myself years ago and gone directly to hell - instead of waiting around for it to meet me on earth. If that's not enough, you have albums coming out now that sound like an itunes play list - like Gwen Stefani's hit LAMB (because sheep would have been too obvious). From Nelly Furtado to Paris Hilton, the trendy album is one where the closest thing to a consistent sound you'll hear is if you put your ear really close to cd player and listen to it spin. Which won't even happen on your ipod. Music videos made it about style over substance, and now itunes has made it style/"diversity" over having your own sound. Video killed the radio star, but the itunes silouhettes are dancing on it's grave. Now enjoy the podcast! (what you hate tv too, but you know you watch it). Notes From Dan: This was one of the first spoofs we did back in the late summer of '05. This clip was featured on the anti ipod page - (i assume they wouldn't approve of our podcast). Trivia No one could possibly care about: Who's hand is being featured in this spoof? a) Dan b)Brian c) Wes For all you die hard Cynically Tested fans* - that's Wes' hand. He is also the hand stamping the letter in Sponsor a Missile. Wes McClintock is the official hand model of Cynically Tested. Insincerely, Dan *Cynically Tested does not actually have fans

 ep 2: Sponsor a Missile | File Type: video/mp4 | Duration: 138

Homeland Security presents a new way to help fund the war on terror by making the war interactive and letting you sponsor a missile. A parody by Cynically Tested. Cynically Tested Notes: The area at the beginning and end is actually a cemetary. The area in between is Crawford (I kid). Music for all Cynically Tested shorts is done by Wes McClintock. Wes plays the Soldier in this short. Both Crossheirs are actually crosses. We're Canadian: On the sponsor a missile sheet it says "favourite" - we're sticking by our story that it's a British missile that was given to the U.S. The bomb icon on the missile screen represents the estimated 100 000 civilian lives lost so far in Iraq. We're trying to get this off the ground, so if you like our shorts, tell your friends and let them know we're here. Thanks, Dan
