Babies and Moms: Birth and Beyond » Podcast Feed show

Summary: We broadcast our Moms’ Retreat . We met in the mountains with 20 of our friends to eat good food, bond and learn more. Today, we listen to three of the 6 classes that were presented at the Moms’ Retreat. In this show, you’ll learn about: how to feed babies and toddlers how to organize your house how to get your kids to eat more veggies and fruits This show is REALLY COOL so sit back and relax. Check out Shelly and Michelle digging into the GREAT food we had! We’d be remiss if we did not thank several people. First, thanks to Steve and Sharon Thompson for letting us invade their beautiful house in the mountains. A special thanks to ChrisDean Epling from Mary Kay for helping us have Satin Hands and learn to put our makeup on in 5 minutes or less. We felt so pampered when we left! We would also like to thank the following companies that donated products to the Retreat (pictures of these great products are below!) Our favorite gourmet popcorn company Colorado Kernels provided tasty treats. Our all time favorite is Chocolate Avalanche. Baby Bliss for provided Baby Bliss Gripe Water (my all time favorite colic solution) as well as diaper cream and products for moms such as Belly Butter and Foot Cream. Silikids for cool silicone bibs. Blush for topless undershirts It is always fun to get something free. We had a great contest and moms got all sorts of things such as books, safety gear, gates, flash cards and so forth! Thanks again to our presenters: Laura Lawrence, professional organizer from Harmony Within Lori Ameh, registered dietitian with Utah CountyWIC (she mentions www.ellynsatter.com and www.mypyramid.gov/) Robyn Openshaw Pay friend and creator of Green Smoothie Girl Jami Kent, our resident sleep expert, from BBSleep Solution (in the stripes) Diana Kimber from Family Center of Utah Valley (in the red jacket) FINALLY: Thanks to our husbands for staying with the kids so we could have fun. And thanks for not calling the police when we didn’t get home on time (a few of us talked to the wee hours of the morning like teenagers. And like teenagers, we did not call to say we were OK and sitting in the driveway–OOPS! You think we would have learned!)
