Etiquette, Birth Order and THE Solution to Chapped Hands

Babies and Moms: Birth and Beyond » Podcast Feed show

Summary: We talk about Etiquette with Babies and Toddlers with Ellen Reddik of Impact Factory. We all discuss our chapped hands and the solutions we have found and LOVE and then Stacey discusses birth order. The sound quality is lower on this show because we had to talk over the phone due to a snowstorm. But the content is REALLY great. What We Like for Chapped Hands Mistral antibacterial liquid hand soap leaves your hands supple and smooth. Enriched with glycerin and shea butter, Mistral liquid soap protects and hydrates your skin leaving your hands both clean and moisturized. We liked this soap. NOTE: We tried all the soaps in the grocery store from the national brands. All of them dried out hands and made things worse. Bath and Body soaps were OK, but Nancy still feels that the Mistral is better. We love PureWorks Antibacterial Foam as the only hand sanitizer we use in our diaper bag and in our homes and the soap REALLY keeps hands from cracking.  We have all tried the foam and the lotion and find it is really great. Best of all, it is 100% safe for kids–even if they drink it (they will be really clean on the inside). The lotion heals cracks–we even use it to clean out cuts. We add the Burt’s Bees at night because even though we like this, we find it still needs a bit more at night to keep our hands silky–but with PureWorks, we have no more cracks and the cracks we had are all healed. Burt’s Bees Thoroughly Therapeutic Honey & Grapeseed Oil Hand Creme This natural hand cream provides daily therapy for extremely dry hands using some of nature’s most moisturizing agents like honey, jojoba oil and rosemary extract. Reveal hands that are naturally soft to the touch, smooth and healthy. It was the cream that we found most useful. Nancy has used Cetaphil, Eucerin, and Aquaphor before, but this was better than any other product. Tricia likes the Burt’s Bees Banana Hand Cream. Additionally, Tricia and Shelly liked the results they got from Nature’s Shea Butter. Shea butter is a wonder and works incredibly well to give hands great moisture. Nature’s Shea Butter has lots of different fragrances. Because it is all natural, it can be a bit hard to get it out of the jar, but once you get it warm on your skin, it sinks right in with no oiliness.
