This war calibrated American foreign policy in the Middle East throughout the 1990s as it bolstered American confidence and perhaps also American hubris.<br> As we will see in this podcast episode on the mother of all wars, the beginning of the resentment that unleashed in the 9/11 attacks of the following decade were stored up here.
