Beginning Jazz Guitar: Major 7th Arpeggio

Guitar Sherpa show

Summary: Like the aforementioned arpeggios there are 3 common ways to play the Major 7th arpeggios on the fretboard. Again I would concentrate on only one way and only one set of strings until you feel you know each shape. Then move that shape across each string set. Take advantage of your knowledge of the Major Triad because all Major 7th arpeggios have a Major Triad as the 3 bottom notes. Apply the C Major 7th arpeggio to the C major chord jam track to learn to improvise with the new sound. The attached PDF will give you all the Major 7th chord arpeggios on all string sets.
