Summary: Quite some time ago TimK posted a great recording of this tune here on the Hangout. I had never heard of it before, and Tim's playing made it immediately become one of those "Wow, I gotta learn this one" tunes. Well, over time I forgot about it... until yesterday, that is, when I stumbled across the tune again on YouTube. Then I remembered, and I HAD to pull out the fiddle and learn it then and there. I stayed up last night listening to different recordings and videos of it, and I finally learned. Probably drove my dear wife nuts, although she's too sweet to say it. After I got home from church today I figured out the chords and recorded a backup to practice with. So, this is a recording of me practicing along with that backup. What an outstanding tune. I guess it's quite famous, so that just shows my ignorance. But it's a new favorite, for sure! Dave
