Summary: Episode 11 of Behavioral Bytes is a reaction to a friend's inquiry about some possible interventions for a young family member with autism. The intervention included all kinds of things I can't pronounce, and the reminder about these fad science, or pseudoscientific, interventions got me all kinds of riled up. Living in the Applied Behavior Analysis bubble, it was a slap in the face and an important reminder that there's a long way to go in terms of helping clients through the experience of selecting the right interventions.
