Stress is one of the biggest triggers for binge eating and if you can reduce your stress you can probably reduce your binge eating problem a bit. A simple technique is to find 10 minutes of uninterrupted time each day, I usually like early morning, and sit by yourself and shut your eyes. All you need to do is focus on your breathing by inhaling to the count of 4 and exhaling to the count of 4 slowly. Try to think of nothing else but your breathing for the whole 10 minutes. It's going to be harder than you think and you're going to want to quit after 2 minutes but hold out for the full 10. Also try to keep your mind free of thoughts. If thoughts come to you, just try and drop them and focus only on your breathing. After two weeks of practicing this technique you should notice yourself starting to feel less tense during the day and being more relaxed. I can't guarantee it will help you stop binge eating but it's a great first step towards making a big improvement in your personal life   Legal and Disclaimers The Quit Binge Eating Podcast is produced and recorded by Alen Standish.
