Gospel Music Roundup! show

Summary: Sometimes it is so easy to let little annoyances in our lives get in the way of accomplishing the tasks that are (and should be) our main goal or objective. This, in turn, sidelines our attention to the point that while we could have gotten the project done on time, we wind up late with the project and find that the item we were trying to fix could not be fixed to begin with. For me, working with web sites and pages is something I love to do. But, occasionally, I find there is some minor defect on the client's page and spend who-knows-how-much time trying to trace down the problem. In the meantime, the content for the page is not there, and then I may have to take off to an appointment, so it winds up needing to be done- Late. No, not just late, even LATER. While the client may never even know this, it still ends up bothering ME that I spent so much time on something that really wasn't mine to fix. In the above-mentioned page, it was in the coding, and I don't mess with that. Life's little interruptions have acquired a nick-name: Squirrel! This is loosely based on an animated talking-dog character in a movie that would interrupt his own speech, suddenly jerking his head in another direction and saying,"SQUIRREL!" Trust me, it's funny when you see it. We, as Christians, have but one mandate: Spread the Word. Mark 13:10; And the gospel must first be preached to all nations.  The Word is the "Sword of the Spirit" mentioned in Ephesians 6:17, our first line of defense against the arrows of the enemy.  By spreading the word to believer and non-believer alike, we are seed-planting, edifying the body and proclaiming our victory in Jesus. You never know who will need to hear what you need to say.  Sometimes those around us have been praying for encouragement and guidance;  That very encouragement can come from the very word you feel the need to share, be it in person, by phone, or by social media sites. Ephesians 5:14 We urge you, brethren, admonish the unruly, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with everyone. 15 See that no one repays another with evil for evil, but always seek after that which is good for one another and for all people. 16  Rejoice always; 17  pray without ceasing; 18 in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 19  Do not quench the Spirit; 20 do not despise prophetic utterances. 21 But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good; 22 abstain from every form of evil. There is no doubt that sharing the Gospel is what Gospel Music is all about, and as such so is Gospel Music Roundup.  This week's podcast is bringing you some awesome Bluegrass Gospel Music-  Perfect for playing out for all to hear-  and for those who might ask- or even not ask-  YOU can share, filling in the blanks about the message here.
