Summary: Karen Bryant from the Teaching & Learning Spanish blog is the reader of this episode's minicuento. Her first contact with Spanish was in high school and before her senior year she did a study abroad program in Spain. She then went on to study the language in college but, unfortunately, her Spanish got rusty after graduation. That expression "use it or lose it" is true, she says. Now living in the U.S., Karen strives to maintain daily contact with the language, not only for herself but also to help her children learn a second language. Follow her on Twitter @spanishblog where she posts excellent Spanish-learning tips and directs you to useful language-learning tools online.
