He also served as a division president in three of MicroAge’s business units, taking those divisions from start-up to industry leadership positions. Jim’s career started when Johnson & Johnson recruited Jim after receiving his MBA from the University of Denver. Following J&J, Jim worked at White Motor Co. (now a division of General Motors and Volvo), as the Superintendent of Materials. Jim also founded a systems integration company as well as a consulting firm specializing in cycle time management. Jim served as a member of the Board of Directors for Mercari Technologies, a software company with advanced merchandising and supply chain solutions, headquartered in Washington, DC. Active in the community, he is a volunteer and a former board member for Big Brothers Big Sisters, was elected President of the Enterprise Network – a non-profit organization supporting growth businesses in Arizona, and taught Responsible Leadership at the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.
