A general manager for most of his career, Jim has had operating accountability for all aspects of the business including most of the major staff areas found in corporations today. He knows from first hand experience the strain of exponential growth, the disappointment of a shortfall and the stress of unrelenting demands for even greater results. Formerly the President of Pinacor, Inc., a $5 billion technology distributor, Jim has served in a variety of executive positions. At MicroAge, a Fortune 500 company, Jim was the Chief Operating Officer when MicroAge became a public company in 1987. He also served as a division president in three of MicroAge’s business units, taking those divisions from start-up to industry leadership positions. Jim’s career started when Johnson & Johnson recruited Jim after receiving his MBA from the University of Denver. Following J&J, Jim worked at White Motor Co. (now a division of General Motors and Volvo), as the Superintendent of Materials. Jim also founded a systems integration company as well as a consulting firm specializing in cycle time management. Jim served as a member of the Board of Directors for Mercari Technologies, a software company with advanced merchandising and supply chain solutions, headquartered in Washington, DC. Active in the community, he is a volunteer and a former board member for Big Brothers Big Sisters, was elected President of the Enterprise Network – a non-profit organization supporting growth businesses in Arizona, and taught Responsible Leadership at the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.
