Would anyone condemn him if he just walked away from the marriage? probably not. But God wanted this relationship to show to the people His love for them in a way they could understand. The Lord would purchased them back and love them. He would in due time fully restore every aspect of the relationship with His people. Hosea chose to not only purchase his wife back he chose to love her.
