Many Faces of ADHD, but Only One Ink Spot That Stands Out

Attention Talk Radio show

Summary: This week we celebrate ADHD Awareness Week with a very special show.  Our guest is Evelyn Polk Green who is impacted by ADHD and is an ADHD leader. She is also a woman of color.  At her first CHADD conference, her friend, a Caucasian, whispered in her ear:  “You must feel like an ink spot.”  Indeed, Evelyn is the ink spot in the ADHD community and among leaders of the ADHD community.  Why is that?  ADHD doesn’t discriminate by color.  The question is why are there so few individuals of color involved in the ADHD community?  Our plan is to find out in this episode when co-hosts Jeff Copper and Kirsten Milliken talk with Evelyn on the topic. We’ll also be celebrating all Evelyn has done as a leader at different times for CHADD and ADDA. If you are impacted by ADHD, we encourage you to listen to this show no matter the color of your skin. Attention Talk Radio is the leading site for self-help Internet radio shows focusing on attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and attention deficit disorder (ADD), including managing symptoms of attention deficit disorder, adults with ADD, or adults who have children with ADHD. Attention Talk Radio, hosted by attention coach Jeff Copper, is designed to help adults and children (particularly those diagnosed with or impacted by attention deficit disorder or its symptoms) in life or business who are stuck, overwhelmed, or frustrated. It will help adults and children get unstuck and moving forward by helping to open their minds and pay attention to what works.
