Senator Sam Slom is the State Senate Minority Leader from Hawaii, a private consulting economist in Honolulu and President of SMS Consultants. Sam is President and Executive Director of Smart Business Hawaii (SBH), Hawaii’s most effective independent business advocacy organization, and President of the Small Business Hawaii Entrepreneurial Education Foundation. Sam is also a contributing columnist for several publications including the Hawaii Reporter. He is an active member of the Hawaii Rifle and Pistol Association and currently serves as a Trustee and Secretary of the Second Amendment Foundation. Sandra R. Barreras has been shooting since she was 6 years old. An air rifle champion, she joined the PR Olympic team at 17 winning Gold in Copa del Caribe in Santo Domingo, and 4th place in the Central American games in Ponce, PR. In 1993 her scores brought her team the silver team medal. The following year she joined the US National Team. Switching to international USPSA shooting, she won gold at Colombus World Cup in Guatemala, PR Copa del Caribe 2 years in a row and Florida Open. Sandra’s mother, Sandra M. Barreras started her fight to keep and bear arms as she was not allowed to get a concealed carry permit as a married woman. Her father, Jose R. Barreras along with her mother are the preeminent defenders of the right to keep and bear arms in Puerto Rico. Sandra has followed in their footsteps, rallying the media and social networks with the message of the right of the Second Amendment and is the Vice Executive President of Damas De La Segunda Enmienda. Jim Irvine is professional airline pilot. He volunteers time to serve as Chairman of Buckeye Firearms Association and President of Buckeye Firearms Foundation. He works with legislators and interested parties to enact changes to Ohio firearm laws. Jim’s work includes working with candidates to help them better understand the various firearms related interests and disciplines. He coordinates work and funding for the Foundation’s involvement with Second Amendment related litigation. He speaks regularly with media and other interested groups to help them understand firearms related issues. Richard Nascak: No biographical data available. Patrick Shomo begins his second term as President of Maryland Shall Issue excited about the opportunities to work with his peers nationwide to protect and advance the rights or all lawful people to exercise their fundamental right to defend themselves and their families. His focus like that of Maryland Shall Issue is to engage civic and government leaders to advance practical carry laws to the favor of the lawful carrier. Maryland Shall Issue is a strong friend of the Second Amendment Foundation, and knows that together we will continue our streak of success.
